Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Blinding units at locations
Report, edit, etc...Posted by xtremebob on 2004-10-24 at 17:54:49
What I have is six different boxed holding unit that create, but the boxes are stuck close together so you can mess with oppenents units, like parasite, broodling, irradiate, ect. All the bad stuff to remove them to give yourself an advantage. What I want to is bling to unit when brought to the location so you cant spy on your opponent. Is there a way to prevent this or should I just make a bigger wall, the bigger wall is a very last option, because the box is already really small.
If there is a way to blind units I would like to know.
Thanks in advance.

If the unit you want to blind has a HP over 80, then the medic will automatically blind it.

1.) You should do is create a/some location(s) around the box.
2.) When a player brings thier unit to that location, display a message saying "You have been blinded!" or something to that effect.
3.) Have a computer that you are allied to and the computer having you set as an enemy, and move the unit to a off-hand location where a medic sits.
4.) Make sure the unit being moved has over 82 HP.
5.) Make sure the medic has full energy, preferably you should use a trigger.
6.) The medic should blind your unit.

Only thing I can think of sad.gif.

Also, the spell for optical flare (which causes a unit to be blinded) should be set to 75. In other words, the energy needed for optical flare should not be changed. If it is changed, it shouldn't be set to over 200 energy (assuming the medics don't have the energy upgrade). If it set to be over 200 energy, chances are very good the medic won't use optical flare.

Well, I hope this helps...

Also:
Optical Flare needs to be researched.

You can either:
Set the energy needed for Optical Flare to 0.
Or, set the energy for the medic to 100% using hypers.
