Teh Seekers
Current Version: 2.0
Oct 25, 2004

After letting it sit in Beta for awhile, I have released a final version of Teh Seekers.

So, basically, we've got a 32x32 grid of 2x2 squares, totaling 1024 squares. Inside that area, a randomized maze is generated. In that maze, is placed enemies, items, points, and a flag. You start at a corner... a randomized corner, if you couldn't guess. There is a Medic in the corner for healing, but it can't move. For those who played earlier versions, the entire maze generation has been reduced to only 25-30 seconds average. Should you get stuck in the maze, building a Nuclear Missile (Pulse Charge) at the Silo will allow you to break down the walls.

Items... You will only be able to carry 3 at one time, and a Drop option is available. Items are the only thing not reset after each round is over.
Here's the list. . .
Death Blade - Allows you to instant-kill one player. They respawn faster than a regular death and don't lose any points.
Red Wind - Sends all players back to their Starting points. Can't be used with the Flag.
Pulse Pack - Adds 200 Gas, the equivalent of two Pulse Charges. There is a limit of 400 Gas, though.
Uber-Shield - Heals you once about every 12 Hyper Trigger ticks, for 8 times. Essentially temporary "invincibility".
Trap Set - Lays a Spider Mine at your Location. 3 Mines per Set.
Quicksand - Slows down all other players. If they're being chased or something, they won't stand a chance.
Jewel - Carry 3 of these in your inventory at one time to get 200 Points.
Fun Box - Auto-uses a Random Item from the above items.

Points are scattered throughout the maze. At the beginning of the map, Player 1 can set how many points are needed to win, ranging from 500 to 10000 in increments of 250. Points come in four flavors: 2, 5, 7, and 12. When you die, you lose points. You can't go past the point maximum set at the start, though.

In the maze, guarded by a tough Muta is the Flag. Hold onto this until the end of the round, and you get a 250 point reward.

That's basically all there is to it. Get 4 people and have a funfest. It's about time I worked on this damn map again. Should be no bugs. Anti-hack included. tongue.gif

Hm, this list may be incomplete, but...
» Medic disables when you have Flag and another Player enters your base.
» Anti-hack.
» Sprite stuff in my "Fun Zone".
» Added some random tree doodads sticking around.
» Changed Defiler to Ling for Quicksand... Defiler extended vision.
» Added hallucination deaths over players using Übershields. Just so you know not to mess with them. tongue.gif

Probably more. mellow.gif
