Graphics are getting better; theyre coming out with stronger and more complex engines to create better detail and make realistic graphics. So what happens once it becomes so good that theres nowhere else to go?

we will keep pushing the limit, we have remember when Donkey Kong were the best graphics? now we have entire 3-D worlds in most games of which we can explore all we want, excellent graphics of such games make it impossible to imagine how 16-bit games used to be top of the line, i mean if u took Halo or something back to when Donkey Kong was made, which would sell more? because its more up to date, and the same thing will happen twenty years from now, people will be like "UGH!! how did they live with such crappy graphics" they would have like virtual helmets on and u can play an entire game in great worlds within like a 10x10 room u watch

When graphics become too real, Nintendo will win as they try to innovate how games are played. They added the first rumble, they introduced the "party" genre of games, and look at the Nintendo DS. It's not about graphics though, it's about new ways to play.

The is a question we may never know... But I think soon we will have graphics from our imagnation! Games Like Doom3 and Far Cry are a start to the next graphics for gaming!

I looked at games like dark forces from lucas arts from 1995 i think i always thought it was so great cuz the graphics were kick ass! I've never seen it before! Intill i played doom! Now when i play dark forces! It looks ugly...

I guess time goes by in gaming it improves and improves! We never know what will happen....

The final fronteir of gaming is what is in .Hack//Sign You interact with other players, feel the touch of the environemnts, pain and talk clearly with other people. Each person would have their own character that they designed and wasnt chosen from a list of settings. (eyes, hair, shirt, pants) This is beyond holograms if the game interfaces with your brain to feel stuff.

When the graphics reach a certain height, we won't use controllers anymore.

The height of graphics is when they look exactly like real life. Exactly. That's as high as you can get. Then, if Nintendo is still around, they'd win like someone said, since Nintendo has never been about graphics, it's been about fun games. That what I hate about you lamers who think graphics matter the most, when they don't. It's about how fun the game is. Actually I think SNES was the height of graphics. Amazing 2-D is the best looking stuff

Thell do the unbeliveable resort to a good story instead of UB3R graphics.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. If the graphics get soo good and cap then why would they continully look to make it better if it is already perfect? Games that look like reality is as good as it can get once thats accomplished there would be no reason to make it better.

What about VR that would be where new graphics who have start again.

Eye toy is a thingy i can't distrble its like where you control the screen but its fun thats all i can say but lots of bugs...

Didnt they make a game where you snow board or hover board using the Eyetoy?

The best graphics that could be logically made, is that it looks exactly like in real life. So playing a video game that looked exactly like a movie perhaps.
Either that or some sort of interactive hologram system. o.O...
