If you don't know about my map its what the says, you will need to mix unit you build, to create hero that you use to fight in an arena. The ideas i need are the following.
#1) The prices of the units and building are half of the original time the game put in, ex. Marines Time: 24 Cost: 50, My Time: 12 My Cost: 12. I what to know if this is too cheap and if I should increase to price and/or time? You get cash by two probes mining at one mineral field.
#2) How much time should I give for you build your units and buildings? I've got five minutes right now.
#3) Should I create beacons in your base to tell you the possible combinations? And should I give you a limit amount of times you can check?
These are pretty much all of the question I can think of right now, please tell what I should do maximize the fun factor of the map.
One of those maps is going to take alot of time and work, and so far it doesnt seem like you have the skill level to do it right
please change your skill level to beginner or many people wont give you help
Ummm.. the map is almost done, all I need to do is to give the other players the triggers that I made, and are working, from player 1 to the others...
These are just question to make sure the map is not too easy or too hard.
P.S I am a average mapper, I just ask questions while I'm trying to figure it out myself, I usually try a minute or two, it doesn't work, I ask here, and keep on trying to make it work, like the move the location question I posted a few days back, I asked the question beore I even tried it, but I made the trigger it worked the first time.

I think that giving the possible combinations through a beacon is not a good idea. People should learn these through experimentation, battling, and a reward for winning.
Amount of time really depends on the type of game. You might need to include a beacon choice at the beginning so maybe the players can choose.
I think that the costs will be fine with only 2 probes building at once. You just have to make sure that they have time to build everything the need. Like maybe a hero costs 2 marines,a ghost, and battlecruiser. That might take a little work to get. Also i think combinations as prizes is a good idea. Maybe list a few newbish ones in the mission objectives. Also gftgy, this doesn't sound like it would be too hard to make at all, even for someone new to mapmaking.
I mean for making all the unit STATS and COSTS and TIME right
I have most of the trigering done, I just need to give the other players the triggers so they can create units, but right now what I have set up now, is that every fight you win, you will get one of the seven remaining units to be your prize, You get either a lurker, archon, dark archone, dark templar, valkerie, infested durun or a guardian. Thought you will already be able to make hero versions of these units, the prizes will be a little bit stronger. Well I'm going to repost what I have gotten done lately, It's just going to be for player one, it will be only be to test out the possibilities for mixes for units. I know that some units are more unabalanced than others, but they will be evened out in my final version.
The map pretty much done, the things that will change in the final version is the heros and prizes will be move balanced out, and maybe more time will be added for the first time you build.
First of all:
You should make all the unit prices multiples of 8, because that's how many mins are returned from Probes
You could have certain units require gas, and be able to convert resources(2:1 ratio, as in, 8 gas=4 min, 8 min=4 gas) so that you have to decide between 2 mineral Probes, 1 of each, or 2 Gas probes.
Perhaps you could have time cost be add the Gas and Mineral prices, then subtract 1/3 of total, and convert that number int oseconds.
Like, say Ghost is 16 Mins, 4 Gas
16+4=20
20/3=6.666...
20-6.666...=13.333...
Time cost=13 Seconds, or maybe 1.3 seconds
Then, if you do the first(13), give them 7 minutes 30 seconds
If latter, then give them, maybe, 2 minutes.
Of course, I just made these up in about a half minute, so a lot more balancing would be required for time, but like my idea?
It's a great idea, I was thinking to do something like to balance out the gas prices of units into gas, but I said nah, but I will now, after I do this I will post a new version of it where you can player with one more person.
I will also partly take your second Idea, I'll ten minutes the first time build up your base, then only give two and a half minutes afterwards.
What I did for the prices is I added the gas and mineral together and divided by four. Then I That number divided it by two, and subtracted it from cost of the units.
(E.X Ultralisk: Orginal Cost: 200 Gas and Ore, My new Time\Cost: 64\96)
If you noticed, I changed the price so it would match up so it could be divided by eight.
So the map there is only playable for one person? You should just go ahead and make it for at least two so maybe people could give you feedback on balancing and such.
