I thought it was dependant on tileset?
Either way, on standard wireframe units, it seems to be randomized, or the parts the colors are on are randomized.

Ya, experiment yourself.
They're not that hard to find.
Just try random variations between numbers, using Unit Sprites(so they have default HP), sometimes even shields if they're Zerg units, etc.

In Jungle do 4/3 for the glowing black.

For ash world, use 100 hp in the small box and 1 in the big box. It will give it a cool from black and orange colour. There was also another type but i forgot it.
Also remember that the wire frames change acording to your terrain. If you use that for another type of terrain, it will be different.

For the coolest glow EVER:
Use a marine sprite, or a building sprite.
Use this formula.

I think he want's units to have the cool wireframe not sprites. Anyways nice formula.

(Default Health / 100 ) * 2 = Sprite Glow (LEVEL)

Does wierd stuff to the Colours as you take damage, but who knows!

i did some experimenting with my map im making and its pretty much random. also, if you make another glowing wireframe it seems to affect others. i was using the xtra powerups and changing the values and each time i changed one it affected all the others or it was randomized.

Ya it mostly randomizes evrey time you change it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by KaboomHahahein on 2004-10-31 at 16:15:30
It isin't random or there will be no point in asking people what the hp for whatever is. It's not random you probably just used another terrain and it was diferent so you thought it was random.

"It isin't random or there will be no point in asking people what the hp for whatever is. It's not random you probably just used another terrain and it was diferent so you thought it was random."

I think they're referring to Terran units and non-Archon Protoss units, which have true wireframes, and randomized coloring.
