The Ruins
The humaniod, black-ish red skinned creature crawled through the ruins on all fours, tracking a sound it heard. I heard a human! I'd love some human for dinner... Suddenly, it heard another noise, this one closer. A bit of rubble falling and smashing on the ground. It turned its imp-like head toward the direction of the noise, sniffing the air. Human...
Creature: grrrrr.
More rubble came crashing down from above, smashing into the creature's head, fracturing the skull in several places. It whirled its head around in vain, searching for its attacker. It then looked up just in time to see its doom as gushing red blood filled its eyes. It clawed futilely at the air in an attempt to ward off its attacker.
Creature: RRRARGH!!!!!
Scorn came crashing down on top of the creature, his feet hitting its head first, shattering the already fractured skull. He flipped its lifeless corpse over and put his hand on its chest. Hmmm, no throbbing...means its dead... He took out his tracker and switched it to scan.
Scorn: Fur and scales, as well as a leaner body, not as many tumors...means this one's from the Talos clan...I hope there aren't any more. I've been starting to hate these things, yet I don't even know what they really are or how they got here...
Just as he said that, five others emerged from the ruins snarling and growling like hungry wolves.
Scorn: Spoke too soon...
Scorn drew his plasma handguns, one in each hand, and flicked off the two safeties, one for the gun and the other for the plasma core. He raised his guns and pointed them at the approching hoard. They snarled and licked their lips, revealing their sharp, blood covered their teeth. These things act like animals, yet have human traits...they seem like lab-bred crossbreeds...
An image flashed through his head, showing him and...another him? He also noticed the creatures...no. Not the creatures...or...they looked like more basic forms of them and...there's a scientist and he turns around and...
Scorn: ARGHHH!!!
While he had his little 'happy flashback' the creatures were on him. Well, at least at this range I can't miss 'em! He pulled the trigger five times, putting bullets through the skulls of the mysterious creatures, effectively killing them. Scorn left their rotting corpses to the scavengers...
All of a sudden... something tapped his shoulder...and it wasn't human...
