i think Final Fantasy VIII was the greatest, just because of the fantstic music in the opening cinematics, that definatly got a lot of points for me, also i thought the GFs (Guardian Forces) were a lot better because it didnt require magic to summon them, they worked on a life-counter, also i thought the card game they developed for that one was pretty cool, when ur done with the game u get to go around and collect the cards, which i thought was a great way to get players to go back to enviroments they left back a long time ago, though i would've liked to see some materia from Final Fantasy VII, that was an interesting concept

i completely disagree with that, the characters are always so original and the cinematics are so woderfully made, so well, that they look better than any animated movie in ANY time

Wasn't there already one of these? Oh well, I think seven was teh best, it had the best story line, and gameplay, and graphics.

Some final fantasy games have boring gameplay but some of them are fun! They all have diffrerent ones thats what makes them fun. I agree with you abit. But I find FF series fun!

i LOVE FF1 STILL I can't wait till f1 and ff2 dawn of souls for gba i'll play ff portable!
The graphics were just great back then! The Music was good in the old days! The controls were great i 've seen not many rpg's back then ff1 showed me the fun of rpg's! I t has great replay cuz you could choose your party!

I only hate when in ff1 the guys don't talk at all! They only say " ............ "
And i hate the story so ya....

there was? oops! i agree 7 was a revolutionary game for the Final Fantasy series, it was the first one to bring 3-D grpahics on the playstation or any other system for the Final Fantasy series and the materia was an innovative idea to learn all the abilities and it had my favorite summon Knights of the Round!

I'd have to say either FFVII or FFVIII.

They both had a pretty unique gameplay, good cinematics, and a good storyline.

oh...no you misunderstood me, i meant in the final fantasy series for playstation it was the first with 3-D graphics,
