Made this for the map contest. I'll still finish it even though the contest is over i guess. All the demo contains is an intro and the three main character's prologues. Let me know what you think!

Pears, i sent fb to ancient book. i didnt select my hero for say 10 seconds - 30 seconds then ancient text went on loop again where he talking about book. During 2ndtime i did it i sent my guy down to exit but he was owned by Player 8 n never got hero back. Because scene looped itself 2nd time. When should of ended firsttime.

Yeah i know what happened. It's perserve trigger incase you didn't catch it or whatever and when it gives the fb back to you, it gives it back only if its at the location you go to to talk to the relic. But i changed it so it gives it back anywhere. But did you play the rest of it?

This map was great, I loved the intro and the gameplay is nice, you obviously spent alot of time on this. A few suggestions though, fix the grammatical/spelling mistakes and add a Blacksmith (unless you have other ideas for this). Nice job, keep it up. closedeyes.gif

Alright, more problems

- DT Wall never got removed.
- Battles in town? nah mate
- Battles in your house -_-; bit strange.
Didnt know creatures roamed in town..

+ Gameplay is good.
+ Randomized Battles, nice.
- Have exit at flag to get victory
- Have goto enemies fight, dont come to you.

Hmm to moogle- i know why you got in battle in town, the location at the exit of town is a bit close so you probably went to exit and you got the 'world map' message but were still in town. Oh and the dt wall...to remove it you talk to your father in the bar, then you go back home for a short cutscene then the wall is remove and you can go to the next objective. To artanis, some towns will have weapon shops similar to most rpgs where each town you go to has a better weapon than the town before it. Also each lvl up, you can upgrade attack once. I guess i should move that location back, and maybe make it more clear as to what your supposed to do. Sorry about the misfortune lol

Another problem, when you walk up to the statue, it gives your unit to player 7. Well, I accidently kept clicking and the unit went away from the statue and after the short talking scene i didn't get my unit back.

Ya i relized that during all cutscenes i made the trigger give the unit back to you only if it is at the location of the person you are talking to. So i went back and changed them all to anywhere instead of individual locations.

If you want a Sound Free Version, get WinMPQ and open the map and remove the sounds and save as a new map.

Yes, you can view the inputted sounds and delete them, just means anything linked to those sounds will just not work. And since Sounds are not important in trigger works, it doesn't matter.

Well if you decide to do that do not delete transmission...becausei use transmission instead of display text message. Also it will probably mess lots of stuff up, like the battle system because it has waits in it from transmissions....

Well its not that its hard (and i couldn't just delete them, i would have to change the triggers or they wouldnt work), its that i dont want to post another version and confuse people or whatever lol. Also i feel pretty dumb myself that i had to post two in first place. =D

When I was walking around town I kept getting pulled into these battes even though there were no enemies around me... Also I didn't like how I kept on getting pulled into buildings when I did't want to be. Maybe you should make some beacon I need to setop on to enter, because I didn't like just randomly getting pulled into some guys house who then yells at me because he is trying to sleep lol. I thought the intro was good, though kinda long, and your sound effects fit very well. Nice job overall, but the size of the map must be decreased.

Well all the houses,inns,pubs,etc are enterable and you walk up to them to enter. I origionally used a beacon but it was a hassle. Also you got into battles in town because you tried to leave the town while a 'dt wall' was up. So you got the message 'world map' thus enabling random battles but you couldnt leave the town yet. I have fixed it to where you cant enable random battles by going into that location until there are zero dts there. Sounds to me like you only played as Cypher; if you download the second link, there are two other characters to play as.

Actually removing the Sounds from the Transmission triggers will just mean they will not play, you set the wait time yourself, and that isn't effected. Just don't view them because they will instantly disable.

I would encourage a soundless version, and a skip intro option. I will not play the map again until there is no intro, because the one there is there presently annoyed the hell out of me.

Hmm i did not know that coko. Cool. Anywho i was wondering...those of you that played the map did you notice the karma system? Karma decides what spells you will learn/ what inn prices are for you/ how much items cost for you/ if people will even talk to you/ etc stuff like that. I got inspriation from fable lol. An example is Kai; after leaving his village he resorts to theivery because he cannot make a living. When you actually get out of your town and begin exploring with him...many people will have nothing to do with you and will give you a hard time. Just trying to make the map origional =D
