Hi !
My map is soon finished (90%) I'll finish it tomorrow morning. For Instance, You Can Give me new ideas for it because i can always add things, or any comments...

Why don't you tell us what you have already done so we don't have to repeat ourselves, anyways I would suggest the following:
---Donate Minerals option, in increments of 10,100,500 minerals.
---Banning option, sometimes lag is just too much.
---Fast warp on cannons, sometimes you need them fast.
---Plenty of sounds, adds flavor to the map, which can get boring fast.
---Option of Computer Cats, Many times no one wants to be the cats.
---Limit on number of cannons allowed, when a player masses cannons it is no fun, make a max of four cannons.
---Stacking, a great option but dangerous, be carefull how it is used.

Sorry for yesterday i dont had enought time to make the list, so i do it now :
- short cool and mpq soundly briefing :p
- lots of special units choice
- anti-map hack checking
- good terrain with nice srpites
- some sounds in the map, when you buy an unit, it plays the soound of the unit "rdy.wav"
- no invincible mouse holes (eggs)
- limited minerals

since i played the 1.4 all i can say is make the damn buildings killable o_O arbiters is unreal to kill tongue.gif and increase the mineral amount

All u said have ever been done tongue.gif i increased minerals to 1280 and buildings are heavier to kill tongue.gif i made 2 types of mice hole : 1 strong and 1 heavy
I'm now finishing the stfu triggers.... and make :

If you think 1280 minerals is not enought, make an other base, look at minimap, you can have 14 bases, if you play with 6 mice, u can have 2 base and 2 mice, 3 bases, that enought biggrin.gif
I limited to 3 minerals by base, because 4 or 5 , mice mine too fast and then kill cat too easily

Getaids, be careful what you say about unprotecting maps. Well Robi what I meant by"---Fast warp on cannons, sometimes you need them fast." is make the build time for the cannons 1 or zero, so that you can beef up your defense fast if you need it.

Maybe you could do somethign cool like have the cats get minerals for whatever they do and they can recruit heroes too, like zerglings or something, just to make it harder for the mice. And you don't have to stack or limit the number of cannons, it is just another way to make the game different.

1. Sizeless sounds should be used.
2. Add real cat and mouse sounds, and a movement system so if the cat or mouse is ordered to move, it would make a "meow" or "squeak".
3. Add a computer cat AI that only activates if there are no human cat players. This will allow for single player play and games where people decide not to be cat.
4. You need SOME invincible mouse holes, but so the cat can get around. This would make the game last longer and actually give the cat some thinking to do. If not, make mouse holes have more armour or health. For the invisable mouse hole, why don't you cloak a civilian and use that? Then make it cost more because it has more health than the dark templar.

Also, I have a question. What unit are you using for your anti-map hack system?

FOR THE ANSWER :

Thanks all for comments, i'll apply some of them,
Deathknight, sizeless sounds, .... i use nosize sounds and i want the map size to be small so no "cat & mouse sounds"
the already placed mice hole "eggs" are 50health/50armor, so cats cant kill them, they need special units they can buy by killing....
I don't really know HOW make a computer AI, make all mice not ally so can start without cats, and detects if cats at start of the game, but ... i dont know, how it is possible ! We can't make a computer AI for a player who be set as PLAYER (cat team)
explain this more plz...

FOR THE FIRST BETA :

Hey, you can download the first beta. Why i don't fix some bugs before posting ? Well Because Tomorrow i'll have to go to shops and make LOTS OF homeworks, so i wont be able to fix bugs, ... anyway, this week end, they will be fixed and be released the real 1.5

You can Download the beta version from my own web, or download it from the attachment, but it's really beta, i think i already listed major bugs :
- stfu darkarchons at start
- some buildings are AGAIN too powerful :/
- minor fix : reset player7 upg to 0 (it is set to 3...)
- removing cat and mouse text and replace it by a little "Robi" not at same place, because it takes too much sprites and bush can't be loaded at top right :/
- Make more size of the units buying choice, vultures are alling other players ...
- Some censored.gif ing "Invisible Wood" appears at mice choosers ....
Please, if you see other bugs, i'll like you to post them here, thanks,
everyone who helped me will be in the map credits, so try my beta if u'r interested !!

Mouse squeaks and cat meows wouldn't add much to the size of the map, as they would be extremely small and compressed, as in lower quality(and lower volume).

For the computer AI, the system will go much like this:

Preplace 1 building each for both human cats. If they have 0 buildings, then make the triggers execute the AI cat. Then have another trigger so if player 12 owns a cat in the playing field, it is given to the AI and activated. Then change you're victory/defeat triggers so that if ALL players own 0 cats, end the scenario.

What I mean by SOME invincible mouse holes is that maybe a couple should be invincible or something, so that mice get an actual chance to get away.

for the mice and cats sounds, it is not that important, i think, .... i want the map to be VERY fast to dl and i dont know where to get sounds, when to play them, and it'll take a very long time to search them for nothing....
for the AI, i didnt know we could make an AI for P12 o_O
its AMAZING if true it'll help me for map making, i thought only COMPUTER could have AI, but if P12 can, it'll be pretty easy, i think the AI zerg insane ? or send units on strategiks points, and for buying speacials units i'll make some more triggers, if AI works ....
anyway , thanks, i'll continue the map this week end, i got TONS of homeworks :/ hate that teachers

The last time I ever played the map was when you only used 7 players... I'm on Battle.net right now if you want to testthe map for bugs...

I'm telling you robi the cat and mouse sounds are small and they would add character. The AI cat triggers wouldn't be too hard and it would add versatility to your map. These are the steps that will make your map great if you take them...

Yes but it changed, because 5vs2 was too hard because with 2 cats , you can asiege mice and kill them easily, so need at least 1 more, ... and why god damn you want a COMPUTER player ??? that really suck, you play on battle.net to play with others players, and computers always noobs and can be killed easy with some simple tactics : one can be easy : put a command center as the entry of the base, and behind it, 2marines, the cat'll wanna kill the marines and wont kill command center -_-
i think it's not really strategik with computers ....
anyway, sounds, MPQ are good aren't them ??????? We don't need "real-like" sounds, no ? it's futurist game, not real-like game.... god damn i hate the reality ..............
i think we don't need real sounds for a good ambiance, maybe a "music" makes some fun but real-sounds, .... dont see the good points of it .....

Ok, if you are that much against a computer player, we can't make you do it. But you could make it so the players are not allowed to wall. That might get rid of some of your problems.

I hosted this on b.net it was pretty good. Most ppl enjoyed it smile.gif but there are a few things i think u should get rid of:

-Once when i choose my hero (we had a FH) my vulture became implaceable =/

-The anti-camp killed my scv's when i bought them

-Ahh the mice wouldn't get saved !!! We could only save one then it wouldn't work =/

-Anticamp is very annoying and killed a few mice before they even got out.

things to add:

-Add color to the text of the game not just the title

-Name the becons and other units that arn't named

-make anti camp so that it is not two tanks killing you but maybe 10 seconds inside that area and if your not out then it moves u to a corner of the map.

Other than that it was balanced for the most part, and pretty good for a cat & mouse game. By the way you could add a feature where if the Cat is not a player then give it to the computer, if you need help with AI ask me im very good with AI if you have seen my thread (AE: After earth Trailer) then you know that im pretty good with AI smile.gif So if you need any help post here or PM me on b.net

Well i fixed this, i made that is an hydralisk who got 0 of damage (but can make damage) it made so mice need to wait about 10secs or more to be killed, i think, so that's fixed. closedeyes.gif

Are you sure?? I played my map and had no problem with that and helped mice about 4 times... My triggers are preserved, don't see why it bugged, need more explications. disgust.gif

Well, for tha AI read what I said before, .... I don't really like AI, and i'll make the map fair, that I want the cats to be more fun to play, i'll really think about that.
Cats got bad reputation, .... maybe it's not fun to kill other players... Me, personaly, i like to be cat when the map is fair enought .... I like to kill those mice biggrin.gif and in my map I made lots of specials units, like drone, it would be cool to infest a base, hum, i never tested it, so i'm not sure for this to work...

??!! Strange, can you tell me more, what player color were you (if u remember) , what hapened ? Someone checked you for map hacking ? The center view were preserved (with hyper triggers) to the anti map hack chek loaction ? (middle - top)
