Hey, sup... I finally found that button thing that resends you your password... ha ha ha... 'thanks rexy'.. now to some serious matters...



Around the end of December and the end of February.. (maybe longer, trying to study at the same time...) I will be releasing a series of bounds that will so innovative and trigger intensive, that they will forever change the "bound world"... currently, the list of bounds to be released will be:





West Server Releases:

Red2Blue_Bound (regular bound)
d)R(agon_Bound_1_Revamped (switch collector)
d)R(agon_Bound_2_Revamped (level-up)



East Server Releases:
-------------------------
d)R(agon_Bound_3 (tournament 3x3/progression)
d)R(agon_Bound_4 (tournament 3x2/master)
Bounds_The Challenge_4 (tournament 5x5/regular)





These series of maps will be bound types and bound obs that will be so unique that many can consider these not to be bounds, but instead something else...

After these releases, I will quit making maps for a while...


I have currently released the beta versions of these maps, be sure to look for them...


(and as a side note... I hand draw all my maps... so stop asking me if I use bmp2scm or how to use it...)

Wow, sounds great! Have you seen RR Bound by Artanis? Will it be similar to that? Because I can't really think of any more "originial" obstacles you could possibly do biggrin.gif

It will be nothing like artanis... those obs that he created in the bound, are minature versions of other bounds that ive seen before... thats right... !seen before!. those are only modified to a small extent...

My bounds will be featuring a whole new style of play...

its not like dodging explosions... under a time limit while dodging dark templars...

each bound will focus specifically around one unique feature and build off of that...



like for instance d)R(agon_Bound_3... its a tournament... with 3x3 grid each player... thats the basic format.. but... it also has another bound in it, called progression... which is a hybrid of the 3x3 tournament. It will have the obs going with both blue and red explosions at the same time.. and will increase in speed and diffculty randomly throught the game... and randomly setting patterns...



d)R(agon_Bound_4 is also a tournament but using 3x2 squares. It as another mode called Master Mode where a computer ling demonstrates moves in a specific order and time, and you must mimic its movements to the best of your ability. you get scored on how accurate your movements are, and if u can perform them correctly... and the computer will randomly create movements to increase replayability...



and so on and so forth...

trust me... they will revolutionize the bounding world..

Sounds interesting. Problem is, your examples for d)R(agon bound 3 and 4 don't seem as original as you claim. They are just bound tournaments.

Even though you claim to have seen those obstacles that Artanis used, they are still pretty original compared to the masses of explosion-dodging bounds out there. In this case, I figure those obstacles will revitalize the bound world, not a new feature added to a Bound Tournament.

I have no doubt they will be good bounds, considering I like all the bounds you've come out with so far, but I think its a stretch to assume they'd revolutionize bounding.

Someone enjoys hyping themselves up, but i ask you where is the proof of your fruits and ability? All i've seen is a list of map names, with constant reference to "NEW UNSEEN BOUND TECHNIQUES" which does nothing for me personally.

How exactly is this going to be different from other Bound maps, because it includes a slighty modified version of triggers used before. I'd be impressed if say you'd made a new style of gameplay, not just tried to show yourself off with empty comments.

So, Red2Blue likes to hype himself up to be a lot, but still can anyone tell me the purpose of releasing maps on different servers? Why not just release on both and then let the maps take off where they will.

Those d)R(agon bounds things that you mentioned...
They sound a lot like the Chinesse Bound I tested with Misteeq

Well, im not really hyping up anything... people have been pestering me about the releasals of new maps. and considering the few eariler comments...

These will be new maps.. its not like im gonna spend 2 minutes creating a simple ob for them... of course they are bound tournaments but... they have added triggering that take up to 100 lines of triggers... its pretty fun as well... and im not saying they will, revolutionize... all bounds are technically the same thing... dodging explosions and besides I only told you a few rough outlines of the gameplay to keep you guessing what ill put in the map in the end...

but now that you bring it up...

d)R(agon_Bound_3
-will incorporate mini bonus rounds, which certain events must be attained to gain higher tournament scores... having these bonus rounds, will not only test your clicking skill and clicking times, but increase interest in the bound world... and even beyond that...

d)R(agon_Bound_4
-will incorporate a shifting tournament style, which changes and adds more explosion types thoughout the game... such as burrowing obs, which require you to burrow during certain points and unburrowing during other points...


and im just finding ways to make that more interesting to sc players of all types...




imagine the many other kinds of maps out there in ums... like the madness games... or golems or even ddr... im trying to incorporate these kinds of skills and tactics into these maps to create a sense of well rounded play...

and if you have even seen the previews... you'd also anticipate them...

I don't make maps to copy others... I create my own style...



Concerning servers...

Im releasing on different servers as a test for the spreading of maps...
I specifically released Kingdom Hearts_Bound on the west server and guess what.. its all over the east server... I wanted to see how well these maps would spread over time... and weither or not certain types of gameplay would rank more well or worser then other map types... and if theres any reason to create certain types of gameplay in the first place..

this is mainly because... ive create maps that are rarely even played... if I can find out what excites the sc population... I can release higher quality maps which pinpoint current sc population interests...



and besides... if you never see it hosted on the server youre in... its probably not worth your time to dl it anyway.....



and as a final note... if the game types and such wont interest you... there are thousands of other sc players online... its bound to interest someone... (pun intended).

Now I understnad your reasoning (sortof) about releasing on different servers, but your next step is to get the maps to us, so focus on that. Also, I played Kingdom_Hearts Bound, don't put in such large music files. It adds great flavor but it takes up too much space.

I dont knwo if you made it sthis way or not... but in Kingdom Hearts bound 2 You cant play if there is 1 person in slot one by themselves...

Getting the maps to you... that would be tricky... how to get it to you... that will be tricky... I was thinking of just hosting the maps over a brief few days a few dozen times...

and about the single player thing... I added it to ensure that people don't cheat... ^like he said... I know it takes the fun out of the game when you can't play it single player... but then again... what fun would it be to beat the whole thing by yourself anyway?... and in addition to that... I prevented single player games because of the, cheap and annoying, fake replays... that people send in to try to claim prizes or awards... as well as the annoying "hanged center view" when so many waits are stacked upon eachother...

in the end... just play it multiplayer... it might get messed up single player anyway... (I enabled music for single player games... thats about it... it will allow for you to play the sounds of what you worked so hard to dl...)


reguarding "wheres the proof of all these maps?"... im currently taking screenshots of the maps... but for some reason my computer cannot read pcx format... -.- so ill get back to you on that...

oh okay there we go.. I posted them in the beginning...

for the screens, the difficulty will be:

Bounds_The Challenge_4 [9/10]
d)R(agon_Bound_3 [5^/10]
d)R(agon_Bound_4 [5^/10]

[^ means increasing difficulty]

for that single player cheat thing you can't you just make it so that the game only starts when theres a player 2 or any player other than player 1 since u can only be player 1 in single player confused.gif

Thanks for the compliment... I worked really hard to make the pictures presentable and appealing... =D

and yea... I try my best to have every pixel have its place...



as a notice.... or a note...
I know theres red terrain in badlands... I just chose not to use a red tiled terrain beacuse I couldn't find the exact red that I wanted... so I used light brown instead of red...

Not all Artanis's obs in RR Bound was new, i originaly made one of em, and ChronoBound by Vanguard[T] had MUCH more new obstacles then Artanis's RR Bound...

What does Revamped mean?
