How do you make it so that you cannot see what the other players see. Ex. You bring your unit to the location but the map doesn't reveal and you lose your unit in the darkness. Like in Legacy of Hæan RPG.

well you could have preset areas that your units can see

then have ai script: turn off visoin with (player, human)

then ally vision with comp...

I did set all of the opponent to do not share vision but it still showed, if you don't share vision, it just means you won't be able to share vision, it won't prevent you from not seeing what they are seeing.
And if I do share vision will comp and did not share with the other players, the other players would see my stuff, because they would use the same comp.

Well u have to set all of your opponents to do not share vision AND to yourself as well. So if you are player 1, you gotta turn off share vision for players 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,and8 , not just players 2-8

I did not share vision with myself but, then the fog shows up and I can't see my own units. In other words every single player had Do Not Share Vision and I could see my own units for three seconds then fog.
I want it so that the map stays completely black, not greyed out if you alredy brought a unit there already, I want thix mostly so that if you use the Scan Sweep, your enemies base.

Once the terrain is revealed it can't be unrevealed. You can only fog it.

Note that for the share vision triggers, you need to run the triggers for the player that will be able to see or not see the other players. The player to be seen is chosen by using the correct trigger. So it's the other way around as it is for alliances.

(Say the red player wants to see the blue units, then you run 'Enable shared vision for player 2' for player 1).

I renamed these in my own placer to make things more obvious.
