Ahem... to keep the question going...

Which of the following units is the best against an Observer, and WHY:

A) Overlord
B) Defiler
C) Queen

B) Defiler
Why?
Because plague makes it so that you can see the observer, and also reduces the observer's health.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chill on 2004-11-05 at 23:35:57
Or you could use the queen to make it visible with ensnare then parasite it so your enemy will unknowingly spy on people for you.

EDIT: i know it sounds dumb, but it works more often than not
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LegacyWeapon on 2004-11-05 at 23:37:10
It really depends on what the observer is doing...

If it is just scouting around, parasite will be the best choice.

If it is going to infiltrate your base, plague to kill it easy off tongue.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chill on 2004-11-05 at 23:41:13
If its in your base why the hell would you bother plaguing it? You could just shoot it down or something.

EDIT: Isnt your base like, where your buildings are? Wouldnt casting plague on an observer that is in your base, and probably very near your units (it is spying on you after all) just a little unsmartyful?

I'm well aware of the answers. Ask anyone who actually knows melee, Scourges are always used against observers if not mutalisks.

Answer to my question... it's more opinionated, true, but I liked Chill's answer, because it was what I had in mind too. tongue.gif

Daggot has a blue background, Zarz has a green one. confused.gif Or maybe I got it backwards.

illusion, to answer your question: technically, Larvae make units, which explains Cheeze's answer.

Next question: a Reaver/Corsair group is coming in to attack your base, Reavers taking Spore Colonies and ground units, Corsairs using Disruption Webs and killing off air units. How will you respond and, of course why (Short Answer, not multiple choice)?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LegacyWeapon on 2004-11-06 at 11:18:40
Depends on how much money you have.
The best strategic way would be to use your queen, cast ensnare, take your defiler, cast dark swarm, take a few hydras and kill things while scourge kill the corsairs.
Another way would be just to mass hydras... and scourge... biggrin.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by PCFredZ on 2004-11-06 at 11:35:22
But will massing Hydras take care of a dozen fully loaded Reavers? blink.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LegacyWeapon on 2004-11-06 at 11:37:13
It has been done before laugh.gif
But it costs a bit more than the whole dark swarm thing...

So dark swarm + hydras.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by CheeZe on 2004-11-06 at 11:58:32
Dark Swarm doesn't stop a scarab. -.-
Report, edit, etc...Posted by PCFredZ on 2004-11-06 at 13:28:26
biggrin.gif Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.

Want the answer? Scourges and Guardians.
