Report, edit, etc...Posted by Buletbutter on 2004-11-06 at 14:59:56
Condition:
Player 1 Commands at least 1 Protoss Carrier

Acitions:
Center location labled "mega carrier" on Protoss Carrier owned by Player 1

Conditions:
Player 1 COmmands 1 any unit

Actions:
Create 5 infoceptors at "mega carrier" for Player 1

I can't get the infoceptors to be created. THe player starts with a carrier and a few bunkers and the infoceptors wont create.

I just started it but it should be plain and simple.

God, you can't make interceptors. To give them to the carrier, use the "set unit hangar count" trigger. As soon as the interceptors are "made" they die since htey have no home carrier.

o, ok, that clarifies a lot of things on why that didnt work....its sad that they dont have a home (carrier) cry.gif

IF you have a carrier with interceptors in its hanger, make it attack something that wont die and keep setting its hp to 100 percent. Coulnt you move the intercepters to a location like you do with reaver shots? Would they just fly all the way back?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2004-11-06 at 17:11:22
Yes, you can move intercepters, but yes they would try to fly back.

You use hangar count... Make sure you have the carrier Upgrade I think that might mess up the creation of more than 4 I might be wrong thou

also if you want it to work for more than one carrier dont forget to preserve trigger for the center location(if you add another)

So if they fly back, cant you make rain effects with interceptors?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2004-11-06 at 18:26:19
I don't know. Perhaps. All interceptors that are further away than normal than their carrier try to fly back to it. You can see interceptor behavior by having a carrier attack something, then move it.

So there is no way to have more than 8 infoceptors for 1 carrier?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2004-11-06 at 18:42:15
That is correct. There is no wya outside mods/hacks/etc.

This pretty cool of a rain effect smile.gif

Doesnt look like rain at all =p. Whats that map where the wraiths and dragoons attacks go all the way across the map? Could you do that with intercepter shots? That would look more like rain.

The only units that can possibly be created by triggers are the units that can be placed in unenhanced StarEdit minus the Start Location.

Not true. If you use sprites you can place other stuff.

I think i might just start calling Bolt_Head, boldhead now, just because it sounds so cool...

You don't need to centre the location for Hanger Points you can do it on Anywhere.
