Also it will support In-game setup if you want to add vehicles or certain weapons, but when the host does this all players restart at their spawning positions but retaining their score.My own feature I will add is called Siege where a horde of selected difficulty aliens attack you and your allies (players) or (bots) who are fending off in a base.


Game Features


Difficulty Options
Normal / For slow learners
Heroic / For the people scared of legendary.
Legendary/ For the dumb people not scared of legendary.


Lobby
. . Player's can use a pause option that freezes their character but if a team mate hit's a checkpoint the paused player will still re-spawn there.
. . The lobby is where vote's can be casted and the host can make in-game options (Not Determined What Options).

Auto Replay
Don't like rehosting the game to have another try at it? Well here you get 3 restarts as if you need that many biggrin.gif .


Lag Rate
. . I don't really get lag but for those 56k people I feel sorry so here is a feature that lets you convert unit's into nothing but the problem will be the host getting mad for he will have to re-use this feature every 25 unit's killed. So yeah just keep them laggers outta there. Actually nevermind I had a brain fart I will just make it automatic < to lazy to delete... but not lazy enough to write this much more... damn...


Im trying to think of a couple second weapon change something nifty welp thats it until November 9th!
That's all I can think of now I would really like responses good or bad, date for this is 11/23 and yes I already know theres halo 2 competition on starcraft.

2 week Starting today, I might make two different versions. Im trying to contact high6 to see if he can help so I can make the deadline without spending my whole day on this, and I am waiting to play halo 2 which Im doing right now biggrin.gif and I can tell you I love it.

-Yes I will be able to beat the game by the deadline set. If the campaign is to large to incorporate all of the game features then it will only include Single player and co-op. The other features will be in the next version due soon after the first release. I think it will work out nicely either play the missions in version 1 or the pvp in version 2.

Not to rain on your parade, but don't waste your time making this map. No one ever completes these maps, or they just plain suck. SC maps based off of real games and stuff are terrible. Plus, incorporating lots of features and instant-replay sounds like a good idea, but they suck. It's too much work for stuff that isn't fun and no one uses. Instant-replay sucks because no one wants to play the game again with the same idiots.

I have only ever seen newb maps at halo that are never finished or their just renamed units OR they trail off the whole topic of halo and turn it into some kinda of defend your base game.
Edit: I think salacious has a point with the replay thing eh sounded good at the time.

I think it sounds like a good idea... I don't have an xbox so I don't have Halo 2, but I think the map sounds great if you can afford to put the time and effort needed to make it up to snuff. And Salacious... there's no need to dish on his map idea, I mean people base their arguements on the past, why not look towards the future. New ideas are invented and maps get better daily, this could be good for game based scenarios all over Starcraft (as I said if he puts the effort needed into it). Good luck Illusion, I'm looking forward to playing it.

If you are seriously disheartened by my statements then you wouldn't have finished the map anyway. If you actually ignore it and continue to make a good map then you'd have finished it no matter what. Maybe I shouldn't point out the obvious? Well it's annoying not to. I still fail to see how this could be anything like Halo 2, people say they can't wait for it because it's Halo 2, but it's not. It's an SC FPS, which has been done before numerous times. This would need some special feature to be cool, but it still wouldn't be Halo 2.

What you need is an creative and fun shooting system, quite possibily using Tux's Gunner System. Adding layers, you can mimic damage taken from the pinacle of the shot, so the further away you get, the less it damages up to a certain extent.

Of course it would be Halo 2, SC isn't that amazing, but I admire him for trying. Sometime an SC map can turn out to ka, hopefully, this is one of them.

Tux's gunner system is very limited and wouldn't work in this situation. You can't tell which player is shooting. It would be amazingly cool if you could though, because then you could have multiple weapon types. I guess if you only had ONE weapon type, like a rocket launcher or something then that would be ok, because it would damage anyone who got near it. Otherwise you can't reall do that because Dark Swarms belong to player 12 always.

Mmm.. I was thinking of using an observer cursor type shooting system.
The observer represents your crosshair, and using a dropship system, you can fire, reload, drop weapon, or switch weapon. The further away you got from the observer when a shot was set off, the less damage you would take up to a certain extend. Of course, this is for the reason that it's easy to avoid a moving observer.
The actual units that represent you would be invincible, and the damage could be calculated through virtual hp.

It doesn't matter who you are shooting with the Darkswarm, because it will tail off from the first player, and never be on top of it, therefore you just make it see if anyone hits it.

Yea but that's really lame. I already said that idea, if you want the only weapon to be rocket launchers ... alright. But you can't have individual weapons which would be what would be the nicest thing to go for. Tux's Trigger Happy Defense map has multiple weapons if you don't get my meaning.

Actually, you could just have an unit, IE the scout coming out, and if it hits a defiler, which maybe it will, that defiler's "HEALTH" unit will be sent to a location where it gets shot by whatever unit was choosen for the guns of the map. Granted you can't have different guns for all players combined. But thats just life.
