Today, I found myself in a suituation where I could simply not handle the forum density! There was so many posts (300 posts today when I checked).

Theres going to be another moderator coming soon, I have a person in mind. Stay tuned!

We're growing WAY faster than I expected xD

Whoa thats pretty amazing stuff. Guess that game got us all encouraged to post more often.

Lol i thought the topic was that you posted 300 in one day. But still 300 posts in total for one day is a lot for only about 170 registered members.

I did like 50 posts. The top posters were Slyence, Shadow Paladin and SpaceBoy2000. I think my days being the highest poster are almost up biggrin.gif

Heh, I remember back in the olden days, before this forum existed, I was able to get over 1000 posts in a week. Why? It was during exam time, and I got bored studying the stupid stuff. Got 90s anyways 8)!

Anyways, I guess it's the same thing now. I am getting tired of all the work from school, and I guess I come here to vent off some steam. And that leads to lots of posting

Still, from places like CC, I bet 300 posts a day isn't that much of an achievement. Let's aim for 500 (not including the spam though).

I couldn't ask for more, although it will probaly happen because the site IS growing.

Its not how many posts we get: Its the quality of what the posts contribute to the forum discussion. You could have 1000 a day for all I care but if not one of them says anything, I would consider it zero posts a day.

I say we place bets on how long it'll take for the post count to reach 5 or 6 digits.

EDIT: Very true, Mini-moose. It's extremely surprising that such a young forum can have this many posts and still have most of them being quality posts. I've never seen that happen before.

Agreed moose. I posted this because we've been getting plenty of traffic, new members and great things happening.

I post alot because this is my baby

excl.gif Wow 300. MM is right. excl.gif
If none are high quality then its just a waste of bandwidth
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2003-12-12 at 21:49:08
The thing is, we got PLENTY of bandwidth to waste.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dashrike on 2003-12-12 at 21:50:47
Bandwidth to waste is always a good thing. At the worst, you either don't fill it, or fill it with stuff that can easily be deleted. smile.gif

Wow so you mean that even with all this extensive posting it's still practically nothing?

Thats amazing, I thought all this posting would stress the server. Thats pretty cool, less lag and yet we can post as much as we want to.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SpaceBoy2000 on 2003-12-12 at 22:57:11
Definitely a plus. Though in the long run, wouldn't the forum fill up the space that you have? Or is it unlimited? (if so, tell me where!)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2003-12-12 at 23:34:53
I have 1 gig o' space, 30 gigs o' bandwidth. I use about 1/4 of it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SpaceBoy2000 on 2003-12-12 at 23:37:18
And how much does this cost you?

Yeah, I'm kinda interested in hosting now, so I'm asking these questions.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by .Coko[CK] on 2003-12-13 at 08:14:35
I found out that hosting can cost only about $3.00 a month, or $12 a year? That any good? 100MB, Unlimited Bandwidth, cgi, php combatible?

Think of that
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2003-12-13 at 23:31:46
Server costs 15 bucks a month, 7.77 a year.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by chuiu on 2003-12-13 at 23:37:56
That doesn't makes sense. 15 a month OR 7.77 a year. Or 15 a month PLUS 7.77 a year?
