Is it true when you move location to 'anywhere' it truly moves any where...or does it just go to the middle of the map?

Middle of map. I think the size of anywhere can be changed through hexing.

PS: I dont really think you should be "advanced".

Anywhere is simply location 64, which is the full map size, and logically since units are placed towards the centre, that will be the location where it is placed. I doubt you can edit in in Hex Editor without Starcraft Crashing.

if you want it to go to a certain location, just make one and center it there, not anywhere, and Coko, is the 64th location Location 63? since there is a Location 0...

I think so.... Anyways, I don't see why it matters, lol.
Would anyone really need all the locations that they'd have to hex 'Anywhere' to make it smaller? I don't see the point of it, even if it was easy to do.

Ya the 64th location is 63, but hes saying that the location "Anywhere" replaces location 64. Not the 64th because if you try to make location 64 it will just skip over it and make location 65.

i knew what he meant, but i was just wondering about that one, why is 64 the anywhere, blizzard is so random, with 255, at least make location 0 or 255 anywhere pinch.gif

They are not random, its to do with maximum sizes of Data Types, which works on the 2^x format normally, thats because of the Computer techniques. 0 - 255 is 256 points, where the 64th is Anywhere, and always placed.

I'am currently working on a program called "LocationM" what it does is give you more trigger space...You can use 300 triggers, And you can also bend locations into circles or ovals, But this program wont be out until close to christmas.

Cool. Is that even possible. O_o

Yes but you have to go through the strings of the original map editor.

Easily, just like SF can make smaller than 1x1 locations, any pixel size actually tongue.gif

Its not as easy as you think...You have to go through the strings of the map editor and find a Hex editor so that you can do so.

And then refrain from looking at the locations ever again.

Before the expantion set was released the and the 1.05 version the max locations in the map editor was 64. 0-63 Location 64 was the last location and it was anywhere.

No it isn't possible locations are defined by two points on a coordinate plane. Those two points draw out a rectangle and that’s what our location consist of. You can only move those two points though hex editing you can't add more points.

Uhh InsanteMapper… More trigger space? wow I have used 300 triggers before I must be using your program already. You make absolutely no since.

That's odd, I can make 300 triggers already.
