New type of Evole maps, the player chooses a race like normal, mines resources at the bottom or top depending on your team. but only mines minrals, all units would of course needs stats changeing.
when you upgrade to the next type unit you can send it to the pad
then the vessels start o multiply you choosen unit.
The first few levels onlycost a few minarals, then the costs get higher and higher in minral cost.
first ->Drones/scv/probe ->10 minrals
then ->Marines/zerglings/zelots ->50
" " ->Firebats/hyrdas/dragons ->100

this means you could also haveupgrades on the units too
but make them costly say start at 500? then +500 per upgrade?
i really hope that an average mapper would try to not make a new evolves map they are really boring and dont show off your mapping skills that you have up to your potential.
its a start for an ieda though but i dont really get some it it.
Neat idea. Make sure you have more than 1 worker, or it'll be hard to get 500 minerals.
I personally donot like evolves map...there are just plain boring and donot show any skill what so ever...nor map making skill
evoles maps are pretty bad i wish someone could make a fun madness for once i like the old days with evoles....
I kick new evolves maps in the balls...hurray for old skool maps!
I think those days are over. Someone would have to look at the old ones and recreate one so it's actually good.
Many map kinds are degrading,
madness, evolves, some rpgs, most bounds, We need some new concept to incorporate nito maps. I think only Movie maps haven't been degraded.

Anyways as I pointed out earlier I think if you added some new ideas it would be tight... I made an evolves map way back that didn't get too popular but I liked it... I had a sort of Dungeon Master effect to it where you could spawn any type of unit you wanted and cast spells with your heroes... just a thought.

In my evolves map EzDay2 I had a Dungeon Master system where you could spawn pretty much any unit. The heroes that you earned had their special spells too, so that feature was pretty cool.
Also in that map, I had a more detailed terrain layout... it was more like a melee map than the same ole evolves terrain layer.

I to play eveolves maps with good people, it's quite a challenge it both of you know the counters and strategies.

BTW: I will soon be revolutionizing sniper maps completely once I finish my Accuracy Bullet system which I can continue once I finish moving all the files from one PC to another.
SO instead of earning your evolves, you buy them? Is there a limit to the number of miners? Does Vespene Gas do anything? You can upgrade weapons? so this will screw someone who upgrades for marines and then gets hydras?...
You could have minerals for upgrades of units, and Gas for upgrades of abilities, and set it to a constant amount, so that you could upgrade many different types to a certain level.
That would be the best way to do it coko. the way that he described it made it sound like it wouldnt realkly work.
why don't you try to add heros or cloaking or somethign cool like that.
You could enable special features, such as Spells to be cast with certain evolves, like one time offers which go to random players.
