i always get annoyed when people that have advanced marked in their avatar ask rather noobish questions...so i decided to post a poll to see if people really believe if 'advanced' mappers on this site are acutally 'advanced.'

*edit: meant to say 'people' up top. stupid typo.*

Lol, look -> I'm a beginner biggrin.gif

Yes, I agree... so many people have advanced tags on staredit, then they get called by other people to drop their mapping level.

I remember when I came, the only advanced people are Yoshi, Tuxedo, Bolt, Nozomu and like at most 5-10 others. Now we have nearly 50% of the 'population' who is advanced. Who cares, they're trying to be who they aren't and to get unneeded attention.

Just for you people to know as a reference. (What I think)
Beginner - You are either Screwed (which is me), or you are new to the editor and know most of the trigger functions.
Average - You know ALL triggers and their principles. (e.g. hyper triggers, wait blocks, create unit under forces, trigger intervention etc.) and know quite a few glitches.
Advanced - Have Extreme knowledge on all triggers, glitches, hypothetical ideas and is able to apply and develop new concepts.

Most people just think knowing all the triggers is Advanced. I taught my friend all the triggers and how to cloak a bunker in one day, he still put his beginner tag on for at least a month.

I started out as average but then I read most of the Tutorials database made lots of experimental maps and I kept reading help topics looking for answeres and stuff.

I kept making maps until I said, I now know almost everything and I put myself Advanced.

We don't need another one of these. Your put skill at what you think it is, and that is the kind of help you will receive.

Locked.
