Personal Note: I just started this map a week or so ago, so I am still brainstorming. The storyline is still in the works, it will be posted later. I will not be putting out a demo or trailer to this map alone, but I may create a trailer for the series. I have no pre-determined duration time for the making of this map, so I'm not sure how long it will take. My guess would be somewhere in mid-to-late 2005.

Do you need to have 5 computer players for it?
If there are only 3 human players...why not make thins easier and use 5 comps? I sure as hell did =D
this looks like an amoazing rpg, i cannot await the new set of an rpg coming out, i wish you all the luck i can give you to this map, jave fun

How can you say that it looks amazing when he has told us nothing about it? I hate it when people spam for minerals and posts. GET A LIFE MAN.
LOl thats what you just did! =-/ in the forum window shows you added replay to about 10 posts in a row!
Anyhow This sounds like a great map. if when you need play testing pm me I am online most days. uswest/ but i can change realms if needed.

Well there is some information but it is limited, i think people just love to see new RPG's and such and so voice their opinion, i don't mind this occasionally, but please try and keep such comments to a minimal.
The storyline to the series will be released soon, I just need to finish brainstorming it. I have a lot done though, and It's looking very positive!
And yes, the 5 computer players are needed. There will be some pretty complicated AI triggering and I have already used several computer players in setting the map up. If I have any left over, I may just use them as neutral props or creatures.
ADDITION: I started brainstorming a bit on the battle system today too... ugh.
Complicated is the word I'm looking for

Well, working the Ai and triggers shouldn't require more than 3, but maybe your using some for other purposes?
Yes, when the map is completed you'll understand. There's multiple forces working against you and each other, so it becomes a bit warlike.
Basically like those games where you have two computers fighting and you join in from a few places?
You're a mercenary.
ADDITION: But you own townships and you gain experience and other things as well as you go along, so that adds to it as well.
This sounds like an awesome RPG!
Here is a warehouse view... You store your weaponry and other equipment in these buildings.

I will be posting more screenshots as the map comes along.
Looks good so far, keep it up.
Map Overview
The sons of our ancestors, fallen and forsaken, dwell on the wages earned by murder and treason against our very homeland...
"... The Unforgiven Souls"
Map Storyline
In a time before time began, our very ancestors dwelled as nomads... in an uncivilized era. There was nothing but sticks and stones.
As time went on, the people began to build upon the dirt given from Viya (Halen Idol). This evolution of earth and of the nomadic people became known as the homeland Halen. The three fathers of Halen were all-powerful only known as Kinedrum (the chieftain of spirit and faith), Faldr (the chieftain of knowledge, witchcraft, and wizardry), and Ranherdt (the chieftain of war and death). They ruled the land for many years under a triocracy.
After many years, there showed sign of another nation... a menace. The nations nomadic people and merchants were being murdered at the nation's outskirts and left for the scavengers.
Explorers were sent out and found that an despicable nation of filth and death had formed in the far north, beyond Halen's eye. These creatures were only known as the Krylent Nomads and were seen as murderers and feared.
After months of these murders, the three chieftains of Halen had had enough and declared war upon the Krylent Abyss (home of the Krylent Nomads) and fought for many years. This war was known as the Great War of our elders. Halen fought valiantly and with courage, and in the end defeated the Krylent nomads and their leader, Yra, a creature from the times before Halen.
Many decades passed and Halen still thrives at full esteem. The Krylent menace was thought to be dead forever... until now.
Personal Note: Part I's overview will be posted in a few days time, so hold your horses.
How long will this map be? 1 hour? 2hours? 3 hours? more?
Probably somewhere around 3 hopefully. More possibly though depending on how I carry out the creation of it and my imagination to add to it as well.
Sounds awesome.

I think a lot of people heard me say this before, but i'll go ahead and say it again.
DKS 1 was 3 players
DKS 2 was 4 players
They were about 2-3 hours long
No one that i know of, has ever beaten part 1 or 2, with 3-4 ppl. It was always either 1 or 2 ppl. For long rpgs, I suggest 2 players. For short to medium 3-4 players.
S0unds like a long neat map.
Do you need to ahev th asphalt under the machine shops? It looks not too great to have that, but I'm guessing that's just so they aren't gotton rid of in other editors.
Do you get your own army over time? Or ar you one person in the RPG.
You gain forces, but it's a little different than owning an army. They sit idle in the towns you gain until you have to fight the Krylent Armies, which is inevitable. So yes in a sense you do.
aE, Your map sounds very well good, When is it going to come out? If you dont know, Just give me a estimate.
Somewhere in 2005 hopefully.

Thing is, there is three main characters that are a part of the game, the chieftains of Halen. So in order for the game to work correctly, there has to be a slot for each one of them. I named them in the storyline so if you are looking for a little more information on them it's in there.
