Do not give any information about Heimdal's account to JonnyOThan. He keeps asking for the password. He claims his e-mail got deleted, he lost his StarCraft CD, has excuses for having a different ISP, and other things. He said he remembered it but hasn't PMed me with the actual name Heimdal yet.
ADDITION: I have confirmed he's a phony. I talked to Heimdal, gave him a choice of 75% warn or ban, and Heimdal decided to spare him.

Edit, i checked up on it yeah he is a fake, and i don't need any IP information to prove it ether. I have talked to heimdal alot and i could tell after just reading 3 post that he isn't heimdal.

TheLostTemplar is complaining to me that he is banned as well, stating he isn't jonny or insane. Did anyone run traces on the ips to make sure they aren't the same person? or isn't it even worth bothering for?

I've done my IP work. There ARE no banned IP address via the forum. Maybe on the server side there are. It does seem that Jonny and Insanemapper might be the same person. But, TheLostTemplar is definitely unrelated to them.

I did notice that TheLostTemplar and JonnyOThan both have static IP addresses and there similer. (don't know if that means anything)

Dynamic ips unless they have access to more than one computer.
TheLostTemplar and Jonny share one small instance of the same IP, from what I checked up on, so I guess I'll look a little deeper into the matter, later...
I added Scorpion to the banned ip address for flooding feedback. I'll add 24.117.205.38 now.

The thing is, banning an IP may ban other users. Also, it isn't very hard to change your IP anyway (unless you get into range banning, which really screws innocent people).

Yeah... but... if you don't ban ips, they can just create a new account. Anyways, it's highly unlikely a member would share ips with someone else, they would have to have dial up with the same service provider in the same region to have the possibility of sharing ips. Colleges might be a different story though, possibly, because they all might share one gateway? However, I doubt any of these immature brats that deserve an ip banning are in college, so less worry there.
Either way, ip banning should be used for extreme cases, such as insane, who has no problem creating multiple accounts.

I think the most likely case of people sharing the Same IP address would be siblings.

I figured i should mention that InsaneMapper is now using the acount TheLostTemplar, you know the guy you so politely unbanned.
