Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> How Do You Make The Trigger Size Small?

I sometimes look at other maps to get ideas. I also notice most maps, the trigs only take up 1 bar. How do you do that? Cause i don't wanna scroll all the way down. <_<

Oh yeah and one other thing, when i have a display msg and i put wait after it, the msg doesn't wait for the amount of seconds i listed. I have staredit 2.6. I dun get whats wrong. I tell the trig to last for 10 secs, but the text msg only lasts for 4. sad.gif

Its called a 'Comment'. You add it like an action and name it whatever you want it to be.

You can't choose how long text stays up if you use the "Display Text Message" action. It is at a set time. Use "Trasmission" for better results.

You'll need a null sound for this though.

For Transmissions, use the NullSound, a Beep (or two) or get voice actors and include speech. biggrin.gif

Always shorten pieces of music. Thats my tip. At the most, 20 seconds. A good amount for a theme is 10 seconds.

Hehe Td, i used your "special technique." (eh em, you know the one where you can use sounds that don't take any space.) Hehe, im having fun making byteless sounds, but i cant seem to find the mission breifing sounds. Can ya show me where? biggrin.gif

Tip: Filter out the sounds to .wav

I cannot tell you what exactly the sounds are tongue.gif They all have weird names.

Heres what you can do: Extract them from the mission you need. Its not hard to find which one, they usually have something like "terran3". It's a pain to get them out, I'm planning to add ALL the sounds into our database on a later date. w00t.gif
