definatly bowser, i mean at least hes consistant, let me explain, in the first game by Myamoto, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong was evil and a bad guy, now he is a good guy like Mario (woot mario

Bowser would win. He has a cool spiky shell that can stab Donkey Kong in numerous places at once. He is bigger (I think) and heavier. Donkey Kong is just a big gorilla/Monkey that likes to jump on stuff an eat bananas. Besides I haven't ever played a Donkey Kong game before so...

Bowser can:
-crush things
-kill things with spikes
-spit fire
-throw hammers (see the GBC super mario bros deluxe)
DK can:
-jump on Boswer and get killed by spikes
-throw barrels

Although all the evidence points towards bowser, I voted DK. No, not because I like to incite debates.
DK would steal Peach first before bowser (which he did anyway, Donkey Kong came out before any game with Bowser in it) while Mario goes and fights Bowser like always, althought Bowser is confused because he didn't steal peach this time. When Mario finally realizes that Bowser doesn't have Peach, he will check up on DK, but it will be too late, she will already have been stored in a barrel.
It's late... Cut me some slack.

First of all, in the mario games involving DK, peach was not the one kidnapped. I think it was some girl named Paula, I'm not totally sure. Princess Peach was introduced in the origional Super Mario Bros.
Anyways, bowser would win easily. Everyone already said the reasons, so I have nothing else to state

If you are going to take that approach Mario in those games wasn't even named Mario. He was called "JumperMan". In the Super Mario Bros. her name was Toadstool. In the GB game Super Mario Land, her name was Daisy (but she still looked like Princess Peach, not the recent Daisy in Mario Party). Bowser was called King Koopa. Donkey Kong just sounds better than King Koopa anyway.

that is true, Donkey Kong is a cooler name than King Koopa, but Bowser is cooler than Donkey Kong, and Donkey Kong isn't the bad guy in any Mario games anymore, it is now Bowser, teh uberest bad guy (for nintendo at least)

it was Paula, but like "JumpMan" they changed his name Miyamoto (creator of Mario) changed his name to Mario and "Paula" to Princess Peach, just to make it make more sense, why save a person named Paula, he had to make it a princess

I think in the old mario games, Princess Peach was really called Princess Toadstool. At least thats what they call her in Super Mario Kart for SNES.
