Anyways, high school dating should be kept in perspective. You and the other person are young and don't know exactly what's going on. Young people don't know what love is (and even some adults), so therefore, should avoid the stupid

that comes with the
idea of being in love and you'll avoid a lot of pain.
Overall, dating in high school sucks because dating sucks generally. People don't show their true colors at first so you might hopelessly fall in love with someone only to figure out that someone is a immature little

later on. Then you got people playing their stupid games to try to weed out (players, gold diggers, etc).
More specificly to high school dating, people want different things. While you might be attempting to look for a long term, serious relationship, maybe they just want a short term relationship for fun. Also, dating in high school is somewhat pointless because your significant other might be moving away to college in a different state than you and long term relationships have like a .01% success rating.
Coko and SP are right... it's good for building confidence and such. Can you ever know what love is until you experience what love is not?
