When I try to do that front back thing in SF I keep getting adverse affects.
I want to know how to overlap text in both left and right diretions but when i put in symbols to i dont know EXACTLY where to put the little signs. I read Xtra-Editor 2.6 description didnt help. A simple descrition of how to do this would be ample. I learn fast and thats why I be ADVANCED !!
Overlapping Text
{b}[c]TEXT[f][c]TEXT([c]TEXT)[T][T][T]*
{B} Back
[f] Front
[c] Color
[T] Tab mark
* Space(s)
Thanks to Bonko for the formula. Use this as a base formula. It won’t always work because overlapping is a giant pain in the ass. That’s why you don’t see it as much. It’s just a process of trial and error.
Copy and Pasted from the map making tips and tricks archive....
If you don't know how to make tabs..
Either
1.Press Ctrl+tab to create
2. For some reason don't feel like doing that, go to notepad press tab and copy it.
If greenreaper's post does not help, there are about At least 10+ other posts about overlapping. With more detail.
Here are the amount of tabs needed for 1-8 characters: Enjoy.
1 6[T] 2[S]
2 6[T] 2[S]
3 5[T] 2[S]
4 5[T] 2[S]
5 4[T] 2[S]
6 4[T] 2[S]
7 3[T] 2[S]
8 3[T] 2[S]
Read as: 7(Charcaters) = 3[T] (Tabs) and then 2[S] (Spaces) directly at the end.

Thanks
But won't that be different if you use different sized characters?
....
this doesnt work for MAP TITLE like he wanted, MAP TITLE is unstable and isnt easy to perfect like others using tabs. Force,Mission Objectives in waiting room, Unit names are constant and can have a formula BUT this doesnt work. sometimes you get them stuck right on top of one another perfectly in title
