I really dont know how I'll do it. So far theres some simularities, but it may be more fun if its tottally different? You decide.

You should make it as far away from the movie as possible or make it exactly like it , except if someone dies then the games proceeds as so.

As far as possible. Maybe except for the beginning, where they recruit Neo. The rest should be original, or it wouldn't be really exciting.

Make it sort of like the games staoryline. Its another part of the story, but at the same time you hear of the movie events hapening

I got a terrific idea! If you saw Matrix: Reloaded; you'll know that "The Osiris" sent the data about the quarter of a million setenails. I can make a storyline based apon getting that information to Zion?

Yeah thats pretty good, you can also on the first movie think about how they recruited the other members. Mouse, Apok, etc.

Hmm, I like the idea of "recruiting" members. Assuming they're all computers maybe have them all have new names, so we know there's a traitor, but not which one. Have it random in the map everytime.

Recruiting is important, maybe thats how you play it, a maze at the bottm with them all meetings and such? Then another area trying ot reach Zion, including a ship and the ability to drop down to help fight against bots?

Another idea I have is to have it in the Sentinels perspective. Although I'm not into evil so much, it can prove to be a twist. Man I would love to see Agent Smith finally beat Neo in an 1 on 1 duel!

Thats kind of been done, if you saw Final Flight of Oraris, it shows you the ship, then in the game "Enter te Matrix" the first level is to recover the data, plus, there is already a map with this idea, it attached

I understand it's kinda too late to sugest this, but, hey, any1 else making a Matrix map could use this idea(after giving credits of course):
There are actualy TWO matrices. There are some creatures that wanted to see how humans would react, evolve(mentally), and stuff.

Hmm...how about the idea that one of the crew men (in a random fashion) is a traitor, but nobody (except the traitor) know who it is. The traitor will have some way (don't know what) of contacting the agent and stuff. Or, another idea would be to have like two players to a ship, and have something like 3 ships that can, sort of compete and help out each other. Don't know how it would work though, I'm just tossing out idea.

I like the random traitor idea, almost as much as the double Matrix idea.
After you find out(because someone managed to do something amazing i.e. fly around out of the first Matrix) you have to go and fight the TRUE people holding you in the Matrix, because there's one sole escapee who can hook up with the outer Matrix.
Or somkething like that.
