Add a link to your maps so we can see them, that would help.

Well I would go out on a limb and say that people don't like your maps. Most of those links show like 1 download of the map. People don't waste their time dling melees...or at least I don't. SC melee is pretty dead anyway.

Taht's not true. Melee isn't dead because SC was made a RTS melee game, not little party games. I'm not saying bounds and stuff aren't fun, but most people who are new to SC or just play SC casually play melee and not UMS.

I'm not saying that people don't play melee, i'm saying that there aren't many big competitions or tournies and stuff. This game is old as dirt =p. Does Blizzard even host tournies anymore? I probably shouldn't talk smack because I'm not sure but when I do go to Blizzard.com I never seen anything about Starcraft.

Blizzard may not host tournys but a lot of other people do, like Samsung with the World Cyber Games. SC is one of the the most popular game there, second to CS. And there's also Skyleague, WGTour, OGN, and Liquibet and stuff....

SC Melee isnt dead. It's gone through radical changes

At the beginning of the SC time, everyone would play games like Challengers and all sorts of the blizzard maps provide in the maps folders. Those were the good times, you dont know where all the mineral deposits are and stuff and u must explore not just for opponents, but for strategic landscape.
NOWadays.... only maps i see are Fastest Possible Map Ever maps, Big Game Hunters, Hunters, Lost Temple, and Zero Clutter. Everyone knows the terraining of those games which defeats the purpose of the "exploring uncharted lands" feeling. Especially those money maps. It's not that i hate them or nething but the terrain is just so simple. And the Hunters and LT games, i've got each and every square inch of that game's terrain memorized. It's no fun now.

Yea, I remember those days. I never knew that you could look at the map in the map editor so it was a lot more fun exploring. People should play more maps that they haven't seen before and play for fun. And I like Challengers, its pretty fun. Maybe we can have a folder full of maps noone has ever seen before and people can open it and play on the random maps in it. Someone should make a program that generates random maps, like in Age of Empires. But I guess it's harder to make random maps for Starcraft...

people, starcraft melee is far from dead. The starcraft professional scene is the largest one in the world, but mostly overseas. in south korea, it has like three televison channels. 3. just starcraft. players are considered athletes, celeberties. Showcase matches have audiences in the hundreds, girls scream and cry for their favorite player. The best have contracts of over $100, 000 a year, have there frikin hands insured. The starcraft melee is much bigger then starcraft ums.
