I have both versions Starforge and Sc X-tra Editor. I find that starforge is perfect for actually creating a map but i find using the triggers section of it very difficult. IS there any way i can transfer all the locations that i made in Starforge over to Sc X-tra Editor? So that i can make my triggers in Sc X-tra editor and then load them into Starforge. Every time i open the map in Sc X-tra editor it deletes a lot of things on my map b/c they are "invalid" due to sprites/ect. so any help with this would be appreciated.

I don't think you can import locations =p

Try SCMIE (Clokr_ made it). I don't remember if it could do locations or not but it's your best chance.

You could find out what it's deleting and put them back after you make the triggers. Or maybe just try and place them again.

Or you can use SCMIE to export everything and load em in after the triggers are done.

SCIME does save locations but it ws extremly buggy for me.

As far as I know, there is no way to save locations, I only know how to save triggers.

I guess you should just delete all the "invalid" units that X-tra editor does not accept and try it again.

Do0mEd[i]CoN, to save locations you download this program called SCIME (its in the downloads database) and you open a map with it and you can save virtually anything thats in a map but it wont always work perfectly.

I'm sure i've seen four people write the exact same comment, only in increasing lengths of posts.

Your issue is that X-Tra editor doesn't support sprites, nor will it ever due to its design. StarForge can be used to do all features, if you like, but a good tip would either try and use SCIME, or simply do those SF features after you've done the X-Tra Editor work.

However towards locations, i don't see the issue myself, other than the fact SF can place locations in non-pixel appearances. Just set them in SF and do not touch them in X-tra Editor and just use for the triggers.
