I have a concept for a map that you can make your own deck of cards, Preferably Magic: the Gathering, Where in the map you have your hand and you also have lands and stuff that untap like in the real Magic: the Gathering.

I don't like to write much.

A real adaptation of any good card game like MTG is impossible. The fact is, there are too many cards to make this realistically possible. THe actual gameplay is possible, but 1) there are not enugh units to represent cards, and 2) how else will you do it, and 3) it will require thousands of triggers.

Obviously there are too many cards but if u just take a selection of cards?

Then it drastically decreases the fun content. Also, the colors of mana in MtG require more cards than SC units unless you force somone to play with a certain color deck.

Please expaline how the colors would affect the gameplay?

If you have sufficient red cards to make a red deck, you need to have sufficient cards to make a deck of other colors. Thats maybe (24 different cards in a deck x6 (5 colors plus artifacts) = a lot). And that doesn't include different deck styles and multicolor decks.

Ok, a couple things, 1. Where do u get the number 24. 2. Artifacts are going to have less than all the other colors logically cause they arent used nearly as much execpt for in the most recent sets. 3. Spells can probly just be powerups

24 is an average. Spells as powerups.. THere you go, distorting the game. Point proven.[attachmentid=21509]

How is this game being distorted with Instants/Sorceries being Powerups that just go somewhere and are cast?

ADDITION: If you want to futher discuss Plz I.M. me on AIM or E-Mail me.

The only thing that would be completely complicated would be the stack. Since there would be thousands upon thousands of different things to figure out.

The only real reasonable way to make the game would be 2 already made decks with possible stack scenarios. But even if you did have those decks, there would still be a couple hundred to a couple thousand possible scenarios.

And there would be enough units to run these, even if every land and non-land thing was different. It WOULDN'T be enough if you attempted to make every single card. Which would be pointless.

I have ideas, I just wouldn't want to make the map. I haven't really touched sc in a while.

Edit - Rereading it make me sound like i'm rambling. Oh well.
