If I want a location to only deal with say, air units, how do I do that? Are they low air, mid air, or high air for say like Mutalisks or Wraiths?

Thanks

Not sure of this. But I'm pretty sure high air is for all air units. Mid air is for cliffs etc.

no that isnt right at all.....its low medium and high elevation for ground units. low for on flat land. medium for on raised ground. and high for high raised ground. low air is for air units that fly at low levels. medium for ones at medium level and high for ones at high level. I cant tell u wut air units are wut. U have to experiment with that. but u can test it by simply flying a unit over another and see which one ends up on the top.

When your renaming your location, below, is...
  • Low Elevation
  • Medium Elevation
  • High Elevation
  • Low Air
  • Medium Air
  • High Air
If you want the location count for only air units, uncheck all "Elevation" boxes.
I think these are the areas for each selection:
[ I'll use Desert Terrain as an Example ]

Low Elevation: Ground Unit on Dirt
Medium Elevation: Ground Unit on High Cliff
High Elevation: Ground Unit on High Compound
Low Air: Air Unit on Dirt
Medium Air: Air Unit on High Dirt
High Air: Air Unit on High Compound

thats my opinion wink.gif

I am not sure about the zerg overlord and the protoss shuttle, but I know for a fact the "low air" affects units in a terran dropship. Also, a burrowed unit can be affected by "low ground" on the dirt layout in the badlands terrian. I do not know about the rest of terrian types.

the kinda of unit doesn't effect the elivation at all. Air units don't fly at differant heights, thats not what it is refering too. Differant levels of elivation refer air over differant land masses.

ofcourse! that makes sense....so low air is over low elevation, medium air over medium elevation and high air over high elevation. Makes sense.....

I've used this feature for my maps where you are safe only on high ground, and doing it over a wide bearth because i knew that low/middle ground wouldn't count if i unclicked them.
