I think you can't skip bases, meaning if you did 3rd, then you did 1st, 2nd and 3rd. And the meaning of the bases are,
1st - Kissing
2nd - Sensual touching above the waist
3rd - Sensual touching below the waist
4th (Home run) - Sex

Maybe because we latins prefer below the waist than above and dirty dancing is the best thing here in PR, I mean everybody does it and it's sone way more than all the other dances combined.
