can you turn vision off for youself at only one location (ei a 12x12 location) on the map while still being able to see yourself everywhere else? and if you can how?

Sorry, nope. A way to achieve this effect would be to make your map such that a comp has burrowed units or something all over the place for vision and then you could kill the comp visioners at the location. but you can't unvision yourself at one spot only.

i didnt really understand DT_BK. you could unvision yourself and get a comp to vision you. spread the comps units all over the place except the place you want "unvisioned" and thats it.

ok then. could you put some buildings in transit over a unit (like a wall) so that if you look at a spot when you're making a unit invisible you dont crash?

i think you do crash. if your gonna make it unit invis, make it invis for a comp then give it to you. make sure you dont see it happening tho. i forgot how to do it. you would need to look it up somewhere.

You do that, except put comp units everywhere, and when you want to "unvision yourself there", kill the units there.

Make sure that all of your stuff is nowhere close to what you are cloaking, or make it on high ground. Then put a air location that moves all air units to somewhere else if they enter it. Or, if you are using the place map revealers tool, just make the trigger to cloak stuff move the map revealer to a small location somewhere else first (like a corner).

Why don't you want the player to be able to see the unit?

He is disabling it. And it crashes you when you look at something being disabled.

Only certain disbled units crash. Check the tutorials database for a list, I know there is one in there.

It is the cloak unit method. You disable it, order it to move, disable it, and move it to another location (I think that is the order) and if you look while any of this is happening, it crashes. Most units crash, and any protoss building (other than cannon) crashes, and there is a list of what will and what wont disable somewhere.
