Does the picture you posted mean that no one has a warn level decay or it was some how disabled for just that one person? I would like to know thanks smile.gif

Should we enable it, though? tongue.gif

Oh, and you locked it. I can reply to locked topics. smile.gif

Do we really need to enable it? Any mature member of SEN really doesn't get warned and if the first warning doesn't change their ways, they are pretty much doomed to be banned anyways. But then again...

Idk, if people know their warn level was going to eventually decay after x amount of days, doesn't it give people reason to be stupid and get one warn level just for the censored.gif of it?

Well considering it takes close to a year for it to drop down 75% I don't see why people think it would be an excuse to act up.

In Golden-Fist's situation it is more of a reward than a reason to act up. The error he made was a simple one and due to ignorance not maturity. In fact at the time he made it the sign measuring thing in the CP may not of even been there.

I personaly liked the idea of having a decay since it is really slow. This might be too much work but perhaps you could only have certain types of warnings Decay. Basicly have ingnorance warnings and trouble maker warnings.
The differance being that an ignorance warning, is a warning issued because the member did something wrong, but the member was unaware that he made the mistake or unaware that it was wrong. The warning would normaly be given primarly to teach the member that he did wrong.
And of course the Trouble Maker warning would be some one who intentually spams the forum, or commits a wrong. Or they know (or should know because of previous warnings) it is wrong but they do it anyway.

I'm proboly thinking to much into the subject. But you should realize that some people who come here may be inteligent people and yet this may be the first forum they joined.

Regardless... some things are just common sense.

It might be kinda easy to add the option to add a warn as "eh... you screwed up, big deal" or "you stupid censored.gif "... but I'd rather not even try and bother because trying to set up such a system would require all mods to use it perfectly. Some mods still insist on moving topics to Technical Support where the forum already has one topic for every possibly help topic, generated automatically by submissions of files into the dldb.

I'll probably enable warn decay and modify it a little bit.

I've been warning more severly since I thought it was on.
The only problem I see with the decay is: Join at the right time, get warned, get it off easy.

Is that how it works? Yeah... that's what I was gonig to research... I was curious if the 90 days was on a personal level or on a global level. I'll definately have to change if it is a global level.

Its 100 days, and its global.

ah... yes... but I was going to change it from 100 to 90 so 90 just settled in my mind...
90 days = 25% of the year... 100 is just a gay number.
