Wow... this post is lame...

Shuttles can never attack nor can the units being transported... so don't even try to make things like that attack... you can use all the friggin triggers in the editor... it wont happen...

only mods and such can make it happen...

om my gosh.... blink.gif

so you want that the units in the transport can attack like when they are in a terran bunker, well with the basic starcraft editer that's immposible but as far as I heard you can't edit the bunker so it fly's, can move, pick-up units like a transport, etc. and I don't now for sure if you can make the transport like the bunker.... try it yourself with Arsenal III and all those modders out there

ADDITION: and how the heck did you manage to get -8 minerals confused.gif

Possible via triggers.

You need to make a small location under the shuttle and when a unit of the same player is under it and then it dissapears. You can use a Bigger location & smaller location trick.
Then you know which unit is inside the shuttle.
Now you can make it attack using triggers like explosions/ using other units to attack depending on the units inside.

This system is quite long since you need an entire System of triggers for just one unit. You may have to use 10 triggers per unit.

You just use the dropship drops something, infinite directional movement trigger. It would take around 256 triggers for the firing. Then you can fire anywhere tongue.gif
Make it so that you drop a unit, and it leaves the 1x1 location under it, calculate the slope, and fire!

Well I thought this was a starcraft map-making forum where you could also ask for help and espect that someone will give you help or something....
Just an thought thou...

but I do not understand that he gives himself a 'advance map-making skill' if he can't find this out for himself...

DT said that because he's asking someone to do whats never been done before for him.
If he wants to develop that system he should do it by himself since system development has very specific requirements and it's quite hard to do it in a team.
Yea he will need a whole lot of triggers but that still doesn't restrict him on asking for a little help.

Yeah, by the way he worded it, it sounds like he wants something that acts like a flying bunker. To do that, you would have two 1x1 locations and no invalid terrain. One location is air and one is ground. You have both of them center on the transport. The air one detects what is inside the transport, and then it creates a unit of the same kind beneath the transport. You have another trigger that moves the unit to the ground location constantly. Moveunit not Orderunit. You could make it so that it detects the unit, then if the unit isnt in the ground location, then it is moved there.

If he used a few locations he could have scouts appear and blow up by the incoming unit like missiles, but that's the only real option, having other air units move toward the enemy ones. You'd have to have 1 hit KO or virtual HP system though.

My point is he wasn't asking for help, he was just spamming worthless censored.gif , like he has done before. Notice he hasn't replied to this. But if we want to use this to design the system, fine. Just understand I bet he isn't reading this.

Yo DT are you on your period?...damn dog calm down no need to go around name calling...And on the subject, You can use a hydralisk and have it loaded in the shuttle and a trigger that makes it go in after a few mil secs with a location following, so when you unload it it would attack once and go back in. Try it maybe it'll work.
