They are made using a program called BMP2SCM or Picture Map, both are present in the download section.

Or you could get off your lazy ass and draw one with starforge or scmdraft2!

lol creating a pic from scratch with nothing to help other than StarForge man that would suck. that is why i can apreciate programmers with no lives what so ever, but njust the incesant need to make (most specificaly) my life easier.

Minimap pictures are overrated. Other then for some bounds, they have almost no use.

Click here to download BMP2SCM - With help v1.0 Please note, this program takes a LONG time to use. I also recommend you put a 128x128 map in the same directory you will be using BMP2SCM because for some reason that reduces the chance BMP2SCM won't open your map. (I don't know why that is.)

Well, they can be useful, especially on in a melee map that one has never played. And you know what? Somehow, starforge 2.0 corrupted my fastest possible micro jail map - you could play it but the minimap would be total useless. blink.gif ohmy.gif This happened when I locked the map using starforge 2.0. That was ok because I had made a copy of the unlocked map (thankfully.)

They don't have a use for bounds ither. There more usefull for creating a circle for a defense map or the terrain for a risk board.

Locking a map with Sf always has screwed up my minmaps. It's like playing a 32x32 map, the same weird vision areas thing. It's really weird, I wonder why it does that.

Anyways, I'm glad Proedt doesn't do that. biggrin.gif

Only problem I find with bpmscm2 is that you need the tile numbers from StarForge, but I find that the minima colors are different in StarForge slightly than while playing the game. Has anyone else found this?, it makes it that much harder to use well.

The best program to convert is here:

http://www.sclegacy.com/showthread.php?t=1...ghlight=picture

I don't know if it's in the database or not, so if it's not, i would be happy if someone could upload it there . tongue.gif

Its because it adds a columb of tiles to the right side of the map. (don't lock your maps with SF 2.0)
It can also cause people to crash.
