~The Legacy:

During the First War many people died... Fought to save the mortal plane of existance. Most never had a chance to live, To fight. Then when the world was almost completly destroyed the high priest, Zasancorst, Opened a giant portal to the Deamon plane and sent them all back... 3 years later The High Priest Died. The Slumbering deamons were still traped within there own plane and would be stuck there for etrnity... But they wont start this war... This war will be started by the Souls of the dead...

The War Of Souls Is About To Begin...


~The Characters:

Zax: The main character, the son of the High Priest Zasancorst.
Shria:Zax's long time friend and companion.
Rico:An elf, They find him banished from his homeland.
Jerith:A dragon concealed as a man, Stuck in Man Form...

~Gameplay:

The game will have a battle system where you warp into a smaller area to fight the enemy... there will be many spells and abilites. Traviling will be contrled by a Party System... Zax Will control the party at all times. If he isn't in the game the game ends...

This looks really good. I love the storyline, and the party system. Good luck with this.

This map sounds really neat, and the fact that your using twlight terrain is really unique. I haven't seen many RPGs that use that terrain at all. Mostly Jungle... Well good luck!

why do the screenshots have such bad resolution? *curious*

I like the storyline.

I don't think your party system is all that great. I don't know if you have played faith and destiney or not, but it's one of the best rpg maps there is and it has this party system. But if you aren't in control of the party...things start to get boring. Especilly if a noob is controlling the party. Why do you have to have it be a party? Why can't the people just move around as they please....lvling up, doing sidequests, buying items, w/e. What i'm doing in my rpg is letting them roam around as they please but the mission objectives tell them where they need to go to go on with the story. So when all three players go there then they get the cutscene or w/e.

Yeah, it resembled F&D's party system. Maybe you should work on that a bit.

I'll have to agree with Pears, specially if someone new controls the party.. I say let people control their on char.. With one user controlling the party, what will others do? If you play to do it this way, find some way for them to do something.. Tho I suggest let them control their on character.. The resolution does seem a bit low.. I think maybe he lowered the quality perhaps? Photoshop, you can do that, if you want less space..

I would trash the party idea, but that's just me.


If you're going with the party system, perhaps have it so that if Zax leaves, he is given to another player. It would suck so much to have to restart because your P1 had to go to soccer practice or something.

Well,
For one, Zax IS the main Char. as for people roaming free? That can be just as bad as newbs controllin' the Party.. they could go AFK, all the cons of having a party system falls under free roamin'... Well maybe not all but most, and most people will play this with their friends, or atleast have a friend with them.. I mean some people really like the party system, I for one like it some what. But I love all RPG systems... unless its like really newbish and comp controls you
