Ok I'm trying to make a map that has 2 teams and each team has a cpu on there team that helps you kill the other team.

Can that work? I've been trying to do it but it won't work....

Just add a computer into that force.
Make it do strategic suicide mission or some other AI.

I've tried that it doesn't work...

Player:

-7

Conditions:

-Elapsed scenario time is at least 2 game seconds.

Actions:

-Execute AL script 'send ALL units on strategic suicide missions'.
-Preserve Trigger.
-Comment: Attack

I think when an AI Script like that executes, the computer needs vision of an enemy unit. If it can't see anything, it'll just stay still.

I don't think this is possible unless you make one of the players (in the same force that has the human players) user selectable because sc xtra doesn't like having a computer and human in the same force. (I wonder if dk knows why...)

Try it without the "presever trigger". I think it will work better that way.

Have you played any tag maps, like archon tag, and then took a look at the same map? Chances are good you will notice the humans don't have shared vision turned on, and the archons don't have any map revealers.

You don't need to use SCXE you can use SF.
You know what same force means in a game(ally and vision)

Wolf: You can just make to comp patrol to "anywhere" that means the unit will walk around and try to kill any unit that it encounters.

instead of elapsed tim is at least 2 seconds as a condition make it always.

Doing that for a complete AI is a pretty crappy AI. Just to let you know. tongue.gif Oh, and there was a players vs comps Sniper map made already. The one you're making isn't really the same, but it has been done.

Usually you should never preserve AI Scripts. Wolf what exactly is the problem? You just keep saying it doesn't work, what doesn't work? Does it not ally? Do they not do anything?

Actually there is a version of bgh where you have 3 allies that are comps and they are just as good as the comps that are not ur allies. So basically there is a way to do it, i just dont know how.

My bots work now! Thanks for your help...

if your ai is just random like that it probably isn't amazing. In the AI Snipers vs. Humans, the comps are uber smart, they will sit on on two sides of a wall, they will hide in trees, and they will work together and flag you too. Nice ai in that map.

You could post what method you used for future reference for others.
