Look at these tasty treats currently at http://www.stormcoast-fortress.net/index.php?file=news.php, of SCMDraft 2 0.5.0, which is currently in beta format, being tested by SI poor users.

My favourite feature, which i've used for my maps is this,
http://www.stormcoast-fortress.net/images/news/fog.png

Also it runs amazingly fast, even when at far zoom and such. With this in mind, i believe SCMDraft 2 will soon outstripe the current SF.

They have everything in common, but SCMDraft 2 has more and is more stable.

Does SCM Draft 2 currently have a trigger editor? Or is there just the trigedit plugin? If not, SCM Draft 2 can only be used for terraining/unit placement.....

Should I add this SCMDraft 0.4.x with trig and brief plug in to the DLDB?

You can see preview the fog of war eek.gif with this version of scmdraft? WOW! I hope this comes out soon - I would love to use it. I don't care a whole lot if it has a lot of bugs.

Pure ego. Not that it's a bad thing; we still get good editors in the end, but seriously the ONLY reason SI would have ever bothered with another new version is if Heim didn't announce his Starforge X previously. The only reason he bothered to make TrigEdit (whether he already had it planned or not) was when I "reannounced" my Trigger Happy project (the timing was too convenient IMO).

(and before any1 asks: no, I don't plan to work on it... at least until after A&O is done)

SI, learn from my mistakes and realize doing projects based on ego is not the way to go. Even if you come out on top everyone just ends up hating you in the end (and you them) and all you're stuck with then is that empty and nihilistic feeling. It'll wear away at your spirit over time and you'll turn into a cynical grouch like me.

That better be some personal humour? First of all, DW is making the Trigger Editor not SI, and second i've got a copy of this newer version and it is very effective, and he won't release the final version till its complete. He's been working on it before SF and after it.
