Lands Of Chaos RPG
Since I got so much bad Comments, I deleted the storyline(Put I Posted it again somewere down) and all the information I wrote down here. If you want to know it PM me and I'll send the info, or play the map when it comes out.
Ok, Story line, Characters and everything has been redone! I even edited the terran from my first idea! I hope people will like it more!. I won't post it here since I Don't want any comments of anything or any kinds! Screen Shots of Terran Aspect to be upcomming!
Remember not to set your expectations to high for yourself, or make people believe that it will be PERFECT. Every map has some kind of flaw.. anyways, try your best, and don't beat yourself over not meeting expections of others. Hope you complete this map

Eeeerhm, it sounds good, but everything can write something that sounds good.... I mean, just look at the features:
-Amazing Gameplay
-Good Storyline
-Talking Characters
-Excellent sound effects
-Professional RPG Map
So you will make a amazing gameplay.... almost everyone says that about there map(s), etc. etc. etc. So could you be nice to tell us what the gameplay is going to be....
And uuhm, you're from holland right ? because I really had to laugh when I saw the names of the chars:
Assasin means (almost) 'moordenaar' in dutch
Witch means 'heks' in dutch
Wizard means 'tovenaar' in dutch
Fighter means 'vechter' in dutch
Archer means 'schutter' in dutch
Is this some kind of joke or are you really going to name them that ?!?! I hope not....
Eh.... I'd not start this RPG till you actually thought over what you're gonna do..... I can tell already you have no idea what you're doing, because you're gonna get stuck somewhere, sooner or later. Just from what you explained, I can tell this RPG might fall into the dumps.

I'll be surpriced if you could find/create/trigger/whatever the characters....
and that are only the characters....
I agree with both of yall, Chaos I understand that your advanced, but that doesn't mean you can tell us everything and then tell us that its going to be an awesome map, you have to tell us what your going to do, then we decide what your map is going to be...
A few things:
Albion - uh, this is the name of lands in many games, a few are fable and Dark Age of Camelot.
Strijder - This is Strider with a 'j'. Been watching the lotr movies lately?
Woa, guys.. Jus because he didn't release his full storyline of the whole da@# game doesn't mean he doesn't know wtf he is doin', jus' back off him. Features? So what of it? Amazing Game Play? It might have jus' that.. Yall shouldn't be so negative. There was only one positive post on this and that was from sikas.. And personally I don't think you should give extreme detail when releasin' a map at all.. keep it in the dark, and when its released people can explore it themselves, instead of seein' oh theres gonna be a boss named lolrfol with 100 hp and does -9 dmg..
As for the names......
They could use polish, but jus' cause he puit all of that down, doesn't mean thats what its goin to be in v.Final..

Everything he told us that in his map there is a bad guy and some swords, etc. And that there are 3 good and 3 bad chars, and he also told us there names! And, after some begging, he even told that his gameplay is going to be awesome and the music cool and a good storyline and talking chars.... WOW COOL MAN !!!!

I understand that he wants to talk about his map but we don't want to know that his map is going to be uber good and fantastic gameplay, etc. etc. etc. We want to know WHAT the gameplay is going to be, he doesn't need to tell every trigger he used but just what the map is going to be like in big lines....

WoW, whats up with you guys on SEN, I posted 3 topics about the maps I will do and everytime I get real bad, negative,down comments. There is only a few people like this guys *Don't remember his name* that posted a good comment couble of posts up there. My maps arn't maybe good at your eyes, but I put a lot of effort and time in them. SEN was a great place to develope my idea, learn and its here I passed for a Non-Experienced Map Maker to an Advanced one. I like to make maps and to enjoy plaing them, I'm shure most of you guys **Most** don't even make maps people play on Battle.net often. I don't care what you think of my map, but I will do it and then when it will be done and you will realise its good, I will really laugh at you. I know most people dont know me but I can tell you im not a noob map maker, and I do what I say...
All will be well if you're original and base it on something you've created and not someone elses ideas.
ADDITION: Personally I'd like to see the storyline and other map details, should I e-mail you?
Glad to see you aren't getting discouraged by the negative press. Keep us updated on the progress of the map and perhaps you'll be able to change some people's opinions.

I've no problem with anything like that, but I was kinda pist-off this day and well... it's nice that you tell us your map is going to be great but I would like to see it for myself

so I think it would be much better if you told is what your map is going to be like, so instead of 'fantastic gameplay' you could tell us (a little, or much, that's up to you afcourse) WHAT the gameplay is going to be, so is there much freedom of how you complete the game, are there much items, etc.

I'm very sorry that I was a little 'not so nice'
I'm looking forward to the releash of this map and any updates with some more information

For the info on the game, items and all other stuff, like my first post said, I was going to add it. But for the same resons i deleted the sotryline, I wont put them up. If you want to see the story line, email me and I'll email you back. By the way, I would like to know something. Since this wasn't started as a poll I can't do it but ill still do something that looks like it. ReRead first post to know what Im talking about.

Well I got a way which I like and use for many things, I dunno if you already know it but I'll tell it anyways

You should use a 'normal' tower (whatever building you want) on the map and make a location around it which teleports you in the tower and set a switch (something like: enterd tower 1). You must have a special place somewhere on the map where you can't go normaly and that location is 'in the tower'. Then make a trigger which activates when 'enterd tower 1' is set and makes buildings, units, powerups, etc. at the 'in the tower' place.
Pro: You can make multiple levels and it doesn't matter how many towers you use, it will take the same amount of space. Everytime you can create different units for everytower and you can also say that if you enterd a tower which you enterd a looong time ago that the units respawn, etc.
Con: You can't change the terrain for every tower but you can make different terrains for every level of the tower and when you enterd a other tower you start at level 4 and then go to 6, etc. so it will look like a totally different tower. A nasty con is that you must make a hell lot of locations if you use much buildings, units, moving units, etc. However, if you orginize your locations and give them names like: "tower1: units: marine1" it shouldn't be that bad

Ps: Ow and DON'T make a city or something big with this method, I do it in one of my maps and it requires 759834 hells of locations

Hehe.... thats not the kind of towers i wanted to do, anyways its a good way for some stuff. There is a thing that woulden work with your method too, if a player enters tower 2 and another player enters tower 3....... There will be a little problem. Also, there is alot of people who say its a bad story line and everything, and I have another ida for a complete other story line, characters and everything, it will still be a good RPG, but completly different. So I would like to know who says I should continue this one or I should star over a new story line and everything. I will add the storyline here soon, probebly tonight since im not at my computer so I cant take to storyline I saved.Ill post sotryline soon so you guys could compare. Hope I wont get other real bad comments like I did before. thanks.
Big cities should only require mass amounts of locations if it is a significant area in the game. If you just use locations on useless things like joining void buildings, or talking to people that don't matter you shouldn't use them unless you have excessive amounts that aren't in use.

But to be honest, I don't like some parts of your storyline, it's so...'basic'... A evil guy with a evil army lives in a evil land where no-one can life bla bla bla. But I DO like the swords part, I think you should keep the swords and create a other story around it. But a complete other storyline/chars/etc. is, afcouse, also exellent

Ok here I go with the stroy line, remember, 'm not looking for comments or anything, I've already got a lot of bad one so i've got enought. I only want to know if I should change it to a complete new one, or should I keep this exact one. I've got another idea of a complete new one, maybe beter, I don't know. You will tell me. P.S. I'm not relising the other story line since people told me only to give little info until the map comes out so you will have to wait a little. And by the way, there is a lot of RPG, most of them is about an evil guy with an army that lives in an evil land and etc...
Story Line
In these Lands of Chaos, were none could survive, an Evil god ruled over all lands at the head of his Chaos army. A lot of mighty warrior tried, and tried again and again to defeat him, but no one even made it to his Castle. The Chaos army is powered by an evil soul, even more evil than anyone could imagine. One day, the Chaos God decided to take assault on a little town named Albion. The King of Albion, although he was powerful, couldn't resist to the assault of the Chaos God and he had to call the Council of the two Swords. The Council was neutral between Good and Evil, The Black Sword for Evil and The White sword for Good. The Council was very powerful, but by themselves, they wouldn’t be able to defeat the Chaos God, so they asked the two sides of the sword to send them reinforcements. The Evil side sent: Moordenaar the Assassin, Heks the Witch and Strijder the Unholy. The Good side sent: Tovenaar the Wizard, Vechter the Fighter and Schutter the Archer. All were chosen for there’s combat abilities and for there wisdom. The Council has brought together the most powerful heroes on Earth, well actually under earth; they are the only chance left to save Albion and the rest of the world. Will they make it? You shall decide, are you mighty enough to get in the soul of your character and defeat the Chaos God, or will you loose you spirit and get corrupted by the Chaos God, if then your soul shall get lost in the lands of Chaos, never living again, never doing nothing anymore, just your soul all alone in this red sea, of blood. So shall you survive and get out victorious, or shall you be one of those lost souls? Only you can decide…..

not a bad storyline but the only thing i could critisize is the names. this is just me but im sure other people agree: all these long names like Strijder the Unholy and Moordenaar the Assassin confuse me. why not simplify them to like bob or tim. thats a decent storyline though and good luck on completeing the rpg.

And that's exactly why you, if you want to make a real masterpiece, should make a other/better storyline. Coz a good RPG (and with good I mean godlike) [U]also[/IU] needs also a good storyline. Orginality is an importent factor, for it also increases the replay-factor, and it won't be dumbed into the 'just a new RPG'-corner.
