seen as i am unable to create a new topic in technical support i am posting this here, so what i was trying to do was,get a picture, use photo shop to resize it and then create a map with that on it so i could use SF to copy terrain picture to custom brush and then put it in another map. i did it with a different picture and it worked just fine, but what happend with this one is that when i clicked "create custom brush" it made a brush that was a really big box of platform with a border of null (it may have been space there was no way to tell with the new SF). the terrain type i was using was space platform. the picture it worked with was the infested marine attachment below and the one that didnt was the infested battle cruiser that is attached below.
Are you using the same tileset for the original
and the new map?
If you want it in another map, you could save as to create a copy of the working map, and go from there, but I don't know if you are doing it from a half done map. If you need to, try
this . It will let you copy things into other maps. Hopefully it'll work right and you can move the picture into your other map.
Assuming that Zerg's ideas do not work, it may be due to a wierd glitch in StarForge. It is my understanding that only the first map opened in StarForge will let you use custom tiles from other maps. So basically, save the custom tile, close StarForge, open the new map, load up the custom tile, and it should work fine. Otherwise you can use SCMIE to import the terrain from one map to another.
i was careful to make sure that i made the pictures on the same tileset as the map that they were to be put on. i thought it could be some odd glitch so i saved closed and reopend StarForge opened the map that the pictures are to go on and then i opend the map that the picture was on and still the same thing. o and i forgot to add one little thing (lol). what happens when i try to put the picture on the map i get the "would you like to send an error report" i click no and then StarForge rather unconveniently closes.
why the hell is this topic still in this forum?
"This is NOT the area where you get technical support for programs. Go here instead."
i believe i saw that just under the link u click to get into this forum.
o and scmie will not work because the map sizes are not the same (128x128)
were talking about starcraft picture mapper not SCMIE but if its not working cant you use bmpmap2 or however you spell it?
he also said HE CANT MAKE A NEW THREAD ABOUT SCPM IN THE TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES FORUMS
