I will fix this and update it more later as of current im busy.
It would be cool if you put both swords/arrows and guns into one map--like you could either have the swords/arrows advanced with normal guns, or the guns sort of medieval with normal swords/arrows. I always like it when people add everything into one.
Guns and Swords mix?
... That never works well...
=Pulls out sword for long range attack= Erk, wtf is my gun!
=Pulls out gun for short range combat= Lol hacked!
The Chaos of War? Well... By the sound of it, it brings to mind two thigs, Midievil type weaponery with demons/daemons/etc... the other thing it brings to mind is like.. Vietnam/WWII/ACW/Etc.
Anyways, its upto the mapper but... Swords and guns could work tho... like...
Zealot -> "Province Name -> Grand Guard" Or somethin' to that extent.. well.. I guess GUNS and SWORDS could work out....
Anyways,
I'ma fan of Diplo's so if you need help testin' jus' pm or somethin

GL Bringer

It ouwld be easy to use guns and swords they had guns by the end of the medeival age and they still used swords but i would like to see some magic

Chaos of War... from the name of it, i think u should make it all based on guns and stuff rather than medieval things. Back in the medieval times, nothing was really chaotic. They had formations, attacking patterns, and attack-upon-order stuff. Wars back then were very formal and organized sometimes. Things really went chaotic once the machine gun was invented. I mean think about it, it'd be really stupid to send forth a marching line-up of soldiers unto armies with machine guns in the battlefield. It's like walking into a wall of bullets. You need to SCATTER, you need to RUN and HIDE. This kind of warfare gets chaotic so yea, dont use swords and arrows.
Yes. I once read about a guy who got really upset in a war,(I forget which one, but first half of 20th century), because then enemy wouldn't stay in formattion for him to mow down. He thought they were cheating.
That was World War One, and General Haig, he was a British General.
looks good.. i hope you finish this one..... see ya on b.net
Gameplay
-Diplo style.
-5 user defined armies.
-Blood Lines.
-Marriage.
-Upgrading of citys to get better units and larger garrisons.
-Manage taxes, alliances, and where and when to attack.
-More to come later want to keep some of it hush hush....
Good luck, make sure you finish this.
Try making it realistic (in a player's point of view - like the battles, interactions etc. but not necessarily historically) and give players a different feel than the usual Diplomacy and World War Maps. (Coz i hate exact remakes)
Just a recommendation, you could add heroes you control after dominating a city. You can also make each city have their own gate and the king can close or open the gate.
Bringer: just keep going with it, don't stop.
Heh, I remember when I started work on the Wheel of Time map. That was about the same time I stopped. Good luck, but you have my doubts that you will finish it.
This map I once started it before but quit and then restarted then quit again and now since all my stuff I am doing I know will work now and I have the motivation now I plan on finishing this for a few reasons.
1.Prove to some people online that doubt my skills
2.For the sake of diplomacy maps to save maps like them.
3.Personal goal
For citys hmm they are there just as units. I would have 25 citys but that would take up alot of map room if not all.... I will have a tech demo of my system soon to show you all the basics of my system and just to test myself the limits and find some of the bugs in the system before I start to put it into the real map which currently I am doing terrain on. So wish me luck and ideas are always welcome.

You're right, I remember now that you said the name.
I have more inspiration for you. If you finish it and it's atleast reasonably good, I'll give you 300 minerals. The more inspiration you have, the more likely you are to finish it,

I doubt that's much inspiration, but whatever helps. Maybe if you want it accurate do some searches on World War One, General Haig, and the Battle of the Somme.
Its the small gesturs that people like Zerg leave that do give inspiration Coko b/c it lets you know some people are interested and its good to get a post like that specialy since im not some new fangled RPG like every1 keeps makin.

_Whoa, this is pretty in depth. So explain this to me, about the marriage part.
_I missed the part where you answer my question if you did. Earlier in this post I asked you if you were going to do mideival weaponry such as swords and arrows, up-to-date weaponry such as guns, or a gentile mixture of the two.
Sounds good. I agree with fortune guy above me, Bloodlines and Marriage is pretty indepth. Good Luck I guess.
Please explain marrage and bloodlines, it dont really understand what you mean

_I think I understand what he means, so I'll try and reply since he's absent. It is a mideival type of map I believe, so there will be advanced character details such as their spouses and family trees(blood lines).
_Correct me if I'm wrong there Bringer, but that's what I'm thinking you mean.
You don't have to go full detail on the blood lines, just have to go about half way. Cause I'm curious too. I remember you telling it to me, but I don't think you told me everything about it.
_Yeah, just give us something to go on.
_I think a family tree sort of thing to show your ancestry in the game would be cool. For instance, when people entered tournaments and events like them, they would have to state their blood lines to enter as knights; just an idea.
Bloodlines, Ahem. You have a Faction Leader and Hiers. If you lose all your hiers and your leader dies then even if you have the biggest empire you lose, you could look at this like alexander in a sense when he died he lost b.c no one to carry on and yea his empire broke up. I am still debating how to use this system and such. I will post more on it later.
I am finally ready to release some more details to the public about my map....
