Perhaps put a sprite next to it?

You either place it first, or use StarForge to set it as the first unit by editing it's properties.

Use SCMIE
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?download=363

and if you need help using it, follow this tutorial
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?act=tuto...le=SCMIE%20v1.5

But it's pretty self-explanatory
Just export units
then place the first unit
then import the rest tongue.gif

censored.gif ... god. Is it really that hard to edit Player 1's Start Location to be a player 14 map revealer? SELECT THE START LOCATION, CHANGE UNIT ID TO THAT OF A MAP REVEALER, CHANGE THE PLAYER TO 14. Then replace Player 1's Start Location.

Does the order the units placed in really have any factor? I havn't bothered to to figure it out myself but it sounds like a load of BS to me.

And DK if I understand what your saying correctly how can you assume player 1's start location is the first unit placed?

You would tend to place the same thing first every time. tongue.gif

I would use, and have used, Legacy's method though.

Order placed does have a factor. Units can freeze, the map can crash, and units may disappear.

Its been a real long time since i did my 2x speed but i could swear you can 'unfreeze' a unit by using the order action on them a few seconds into the game. Maybe not i don't know, it was just my test lol.

Oh how about this techinqie of placing a p14 map revealer first.
- Open your Map in SCMIE and save the units.
- Open the map in the editor and delete all units
- Place the p14 map revealer
- Open the map in SCMIE again and load the units back.

At least this way you don't have to guess what unit was first.
