Today, I saw Lord of the Rings: Return of the King on opening day today. I'll summarize by saying it kicked ass. However, some things seemed unrealisitic/stupid, but I can't say much without spoiling the movie. But, uh, I have to make one little
*SPOILER*
[hide]because when Frodo was in the spider's web and turned all white.... I yelled out that was how Michel Jackson did it .
[/hide]
*END SPOILER*. Great effects with massive yet detailed battle scenes. GJ to the guy who played Gimli, you're a funny man. The only problem is, the screen blacks/whites out towards the end many times.... I thought the movie ended about three times. :/ IMO, this was the best of the trilogy. So basically, it's sexy and kicks ass. Less reading these forums and more going out to see this. This time probably won't be the last time I see it in a theather.
Bottom Line: The toll it took on my assbone for sitting three and a half hours is a worthwhile sacrifice. Seriously. This thing hurts to touch. But I feel good damnit! :signrock:
My rating: *********½ (9.5 of 10)
EDIT -- You're free to use the hide tag for spoilers <_< I dont want to know what else happens so I edited your post instead of making a new one lol
tell me the whole story im never going to watch it
i like spoilers so i know what to expect and i get excited by it.
You could actually get a place? All tickets are sold out here for Friday, Saturday and Sunday :\
BTW, can I go see the third if I didn't see the second one? I mean, will i be completly lost?
This would be a good place the use the "hide" tag, seeing as I don't want to know yet, so I didn't read it.
Saw last night, KICKD ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
lol. Still im getting on dvd. lol
At least I skipped the spoiler, even though Ive read the book. I'm gonna go see it on Friday for my friend's B-day.
Same with me. Friday right after school. Good way to end finals.

im going 2 see it someday. i like the first 2 but the books are mutch mutch better

Hmm, many of my friends skipped school opening day to see it. The corridors were pretty empty. How they got their seat, I don't know...
I hear it's pretty good from everyone, but some says the ending is badly fudged from the book. I, having not seen the final movie or the book, can't really judge that though.

hehe if i wanna c the movie i can go to it with some other friends or something after

I saw it last friday and it OWNS!
I think its a good thing they didnt make it end like the books cuz in there you get a whole new story kinda.. and that would've taken at least half an hour more of ass torment.
the thing i dont like is the fact that it's sooo much shorter then the books.. like in the battle.. it took a lot more time in the books and was there more exiting as well.
Like the allies from Dol Amroth.. Where were they!!?
and the big fat nazgûl beast.. 1 slash -the end-
But why am i complaining here? the movie owned and i liked it the most of all three.. im sure gonna visit the nearest cinema a few times more these months..
Finally saw the movie couple days ago, it was definitely the best of the three, they have gotten better each movie, but I noticed they left out some important parts of the book. And I still like the books better. I think there should have been three movies on each book.

Mmmm reading is great and compared to books movies sucks...
