When I was fixing my Uprising map, I was thinking about implementing a spell system when I suddenly realized that I had no ground units left. This is what happens when you make so many heros to choose from. Anyhow, then this idea came to me. Why not make a map that is purely based on which spells you select and how you play them. So I thought of this where you would choose spells and play them strategically. When then I soon felt that would be too plain, so I started to read the old reviews that Yoshi had given to the maps. Giving me inspiration and having seen Reflectors, I thought of a random generated field. So that Sunday, with nothing to do, I sat down to work. After around 2-3 hours, my map was beginning to take shape. I added spells and balanced out the mana costs. I got new ideas from talking to friends, and recieved inspiration from others. This is not based on how well you can cheat, or how many units you can mass, but a combination of micro and spellcasting. More spells are to be added by as of now, the simpler spells are done and you can actually play it!

Well, my map is reaching it's first playable beta stages. Those of you that want a taste of the action, download it now!
I will update soon. Release date has been cancelled and I am going to let it out little by little. Of course in order to make it fun for all, state specifically where you want to be changed, and what. Any imbalances? Glitches? Something you want to see?
Remember this map is still in it's first beta stages so a lot of it goes unexplained. Along with the text.

To play, you cast the spell using your dropship at the top right area. If the spell is a long term spell, it can be disabled by casting it again. Only the spells that have numbers at the end of their names work.

I have now b3. It is the most recent and playable version. Quite userfriendly. Although it still says b1, it is updated to b3. The final version will be a completely new file so don't worry about the filename. Please make some suggestions or report any bugs. If you want to play this map with me

I might be on, or not. You can play it with single player but the victory trigger has not been implemented yet.
Just reply even to say that you played it and you enjoy it, or it sucks I hate it.

Storm can kill mages. Can you remove storm or add more hp? I think there should be more people in the game.

b4 is out. Sorry about b3 but it was unplayable xD. Stupid mistake on my part.

I need more spells that affect other players directly. Not something like damage or something, but more like Mana Drain.

I think you should get mroe mana per second... lots of ur spells use over 25 mana... you just dotn get that much...

IDEA:

Mana Purpulsion...

cost: 30 mana
Affect: Increase you mana production by 2 per second instead of 1...

Well, there are a few reasons there is no mana burst type thing although I've been thinking about random mana packets.

#1. The center already gives you 2x mana regeneration.
#2. The less mana you regenerate, the more wisely you'll use it. (I hope tongue.gif)

Many requests to be met, but as of now the b5 can be played 4 player ffa without glitches, I hope. Please report glitches here if you see them. I will probably have this map done in a month. Probably before my birthday. I'm going to go somewhere for winter break. Maybe finish now, or after winterbreak.

Yes I still need ideas for spells that affect other players.

Glitch found. I was playing on Bnet with 2 people I didn't know with the latest version (as of now). If everyone was healing/using spells, sometimes the medics wouldn't die. They would just stay there healing you.

Speed Reduction:

Slow down other players for 30 seconds...
You create 1 zlig under them and invince it... and preserve trigger...


Insanity:

Make other players go insaine for 30 seconds...
Constantly enable the AI script Junkyard Dog for the players for 30 seconds
