Due to the fact that i have little time to make a map because my season starts, i am giving away a map idea that i have. This map idea has great potential and is an original, not a stupid remake of a bound or defense. Anyway, if you want to make this map i will appreciate it if you simply pm me and ask for permission, i will announce publicly that you have permission to make this map as long as you include my name as the map idea by Chesday aka Mr.Cabdriver
Escape Death
I got the idea from reading the story Mask of the Red Death which is set in 18th century Europe and is based on a prince who invites many rich people to escape the red plague in an isolated mansion. but, death kills everyone in the end.
this basically should be a maze like map where if you make it to the very end without dieing, you win. Death should be a dark templar controlled by a computer that is constantly set to run ai script random suicide mission at location X
the players can be whatever you prefer, civilians, marines, whatever, i would like them to be human though, lings have unfair speed.
death should be set to invincible I think he would look better if he was the color black to do this uncheck the random start location in forces and choose black as the computer players color
if you attack death you should display message "you cannot kill that which is eternal"
There should be many rooms in which you pass through before reaching the end, slide doors would make it really interesting. and as you enter a room you should show text message "death is at every corner"
Haze effect would also make the map look neat. to do haze effect,
have cloaked units usually preferably observers patrol an area back and forth.
When someone is killed by death, you should display text message " No one escapes death"
and if some one wins the game by reaching the end of the maze, you should display text message "you have cheated death"
to make the map fair, death should not be able to pass through slide doors, a new death is in every new room that the players enter, so that way they cannot lead death away by using bait. but only 1 death per room! a church or chapel to ward off death would also be interesting, the church may help to overcome extremely hard situations.
anyway, more suggestions are welcome, please do not flame! and ask for permission if you want to make this map.
ADDITION: If enough people are pleased with this, i may post more map suggestions, i have a knack for map ideas, dont know why i just do.
Sorry, but I'm really not seeing the knack. As a simple maze, its more like "dodge the observer" .... which is a pointless yet extremely fun reflex game. In the case that it is a maze, unless a random maze is generated each time (incredibly difficult to trigger even minutely), or a player custom builds the maze each time, the map would simply either be easy or require you to play the map multiple times and memorize where to go. Either way, the map sucks. So, unless you find a way to trigger randomization of a maze, I'd say that your "knack" needs a bit of work.
P.S. You can't detect when a unit attacks another unit. And you can't attack invincible units to begin with... unless its one of those 10000 plus life units that are starforge made, and they only look as if they are invincible.
