Its just a little too slow...
I have a long time in this class because of finals and nothing to do here because the teacher is very disorganized... So I was trying to play sc. I have a version of it installed on the c: drive of a comp in the cad wing of the building, and created a shortcut to that comps c: drive on my network drive. (So I can open that comp's c: drive from anywhere in the district...) But the razor 911 patch that allows my sc to run without the cd takes a little too long to load over the network. So it tells me I don't have the cd in (which I don't), even though I have this patch running that is supposed to take care of it for me. And after it discovers that I don't have the cd in, it auto-crashes the patch, so I have to restart it, and the cycle repeats. I can't start sc because the patch doesn't have enough time to load, and I can't load the patch because I can't make the comp think I have the cd in, and I can't start sc because I don't have the cd in.
If that makes any sense...
Whatever. Basically me ranting about how badly I need to get a real sc, and I have nothing to do right now...
btw for frame of reference, using the same network connection, I load staredit, and it took almost 3 minutes to load it... Same with winamp. Over the net connection, the song actually load itself and begins playing before the display system of winamp catches on that its actually playing a different song now... Its kinda funny, and really annoying...
Edit: Oh and I can't get to my maps either, because staredit does not recognize inter-network shortcuts and legitimite file folders in which to search for potential files that are openable (.scm or .scx)...

Do you have the internet speed to watch VODS?
Huh? My speed is fine at home and everything, just at school the network is slow. The internet is still just as fast at school (they have a t1 or something)
