High, Russia is already a democracy.

I would take it, for sure. I would rule as a dictator but not necesarily a tyrannical one. I'd make sure money goes where it needs to be, while still maintianing everything else. I'd make the country an economical powerhouse. I would pour a lot of money into education programs, every citizen would have to attend 16 years of schooling (that includes collge).

and lastly, Id make sure I would stay in power till the day I died. Then the leader to replace me would have already been picked by me prior to my death.

You say this now, but think logically. If you were truly given that much power, the power would corrupt your mind.

And we all know what happens with a corrupt mind right? Bad bad bad choices.

I'd rule in a 1984-ish fashion, if possible. Just so I could stay in power as long as I could.

If I were offered a dictatorship to Russia.. I'd take it, who wouldn't? I'd get alot of money for myself, set up a demcracy, then leave with the ton of money. I don't feel like running the largest country on Earth.

Personally I like Spirit_of_the_Slient's idea. I really wouldn't want to have to run a country for long, so yeah I'd make some money, take it, and leave.

Anyways, I would take the power and become their greatest leader ever with my infinite wisdom and surpreme judgement. I'd set up a website where people could voice their opinions in an easy fashion. I'd get lots of loving from the females.

DT_BK was giving russia as an example... But even so, I don't know understand why you'd turn it into a decmocracy unless you know you were going to be a crappy leader anyways. If I didn't have a worthy enough successor to take my place, only then might I think of changing the government. The weakness of democracy is that nothing ever gets done... If all the people in power keep getting replaced, work profiency suffers. I know the governemnt spends most of it's time fooling around with the whole idea > bill > law system. It prevents, what, laws that the people don't want being passed? It prevents like all laws being passed. My infinite wisdom won't need any power checking from some old guys who only care about their own personal beliefs, not the people they represent.

Oh I would certainly take it. Russia, a former nuclear power, could be the place I need to facilitate my takeover of the rest of the world.

I know it would corrupt my mind quickly.... But I would want to take power away from all groups. When groups such as religions or terrorist networks or something gain too much power, they start to take control of people. If they can't do anything, things would be a lot better. I also wouldn't take any prejudice crap. ANyone against a certain culture or something would find themself mysteriously in an accident of some sort....
I would also want to improve the economy, perhaps restart it. A capitalist money society ends up with unequal power, and a socialist/communist society results in a lack of work with no reward system and stuff. Everything would be screwed so I'd just take control and keep certain boundaries on the economy. Such as welfare to poor people but I'd have them really encouraged to work harder because the welfare would be enough to stop them from dying from scurvy and that's it....

Problem is if you take over the world from Russia, the US is gonna get erally pissed. If you try to take over the world from the US, Russia and North Korea will be really pissed. You'd have to do it from some island with anti nuke missile defnese things and take over everything so everyone is pissed. That's what I'd do anyways..., since if everyone is nuked, there aren't many people left to rule, unless you kill all the people who screw everything up and stand in your way....

If you nuked the ice caps, the world would flood. You wouldn't need to nuke all the countries.

The powerful rich people in the aprties have the power. Probably why some republicans got pissed when Schwarzzenager (or however the heck you spell it =\ ) supported stem cell research and didn't listen to everything that aws wanted of him. other than that, most political people are puppets.

I think I should take over, and change everything around when everyone else's economy crashed and stuff. The United States of Canada, wooot! Would make people angry though =\ . I probably would be shot before I got to do anything but if I lived (please work 'power overwhelming'), then I would try to improve the Russian economy. Changing it back into the USSR would piss a lot of people off and spark a nuclear war most likely. , erm, I mean =\ .


But the ice caps are big, would take a lot of nukes to melt it. You'd have to find big pressure points and stuff, and nuke the crap out of them, then hope the west and east shelf collapse. Can you say sea level up by 80 meters.
