Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Dropship

I just wondered if it's possible to disable a dropship from picking up units?
Im gonna use a dropship to spawn units around it without the ability to pick them up and move them. I cant use any other non-attacking air units because im already using them. Or, is it possible to make an "attack able" air unit non-attackable?

You can continually run the "Exit dropship" trigger under the special AI's. Or you can assign 2 units specifically for the dropship like 2 ultras and continually force them in it.

By attack able, do you mean able to attack or able to be attacked. If it's the second one then just use the "toggle Invincability" trigger. if it's not then I cant realy help you... Have you tryed using queen with energy set to 0? or carrior with 0 intys allways. And I'm fairly certan you cant have a dropship not pickup units. you could try runing the unload units AI script, and having an air only location, that is a location with all the Ground setings unset. (just noticed your skillseting is beginer) your also going to need a newer mapeditor then staredit, if your using staredit. and you can disable any spell or unit from being built or used (even by heros I beleve) in the "players" tab under "settings"

good luck with your map, pm me when you need beta testors cool1.gif

I mean able to attack when Im saying attack able. And Im using SCXE wink.gif But I can't make queen have 0 energy because Im already using queen, and I need it to have energy. And the carrier is too slow. But I will try to add the exit dropship or the enter dropship AI Script and make it always run and see how that works. Thanks!

Dropships can't attack, if thats what you mean.

To make it so dropships can't be attacked, just make it invincable in the unit properties.

I cant use the "Exit transport" because then some marines will exit the bunker as well. And I need them in the bunker. And no, that is not what I mean by attack able. Read the other post I posted here. Then I cant use dropship because then players will be able to load units in it, and I dont want players to be able to do so. And I cant use units like scout, because they can shoot down other air units which I already use in the game. Im not a newbie so please do not come with some simple stuff, because I probably have already though of that wink.gif Thanks.

Ok so if you what them not to be able to enter the drop ship, run Ai scrip *Exit Transport* censored.gif inuesly. This won't make the marine in the bunkers. For bunker it enter nerest bunker. Or if this doen't work, put big untits you dont use in the drop ships and force them in continyesly, this makes a map less profetional thought. If you need more help PM me. Or you could send me the map so I could see exacly what it is and check what i could do!

You could always make the location air only if thats a problem.

Create an aironly location

Current player brings at one (ground unit) to "aironly location", Kill all Dropship (or something like that. After a few penalties they won't keep trying to load it. tongue.gif). Or center a 1x1 location and run exit transport.

Well if you want to use a unit that can attack you could set its dmg to 0. But it would still do 1 dmg after to shots.
