Has anyone actually gotten this to work? I must be doing something wrong.

Players: 1, 2, 3, 4 [I also tried Force 1. Still didn't work]
Conditions: Force 1 commands at most 0 Civilian
Current Player brings at least 1 men to "irrelevant"
-Current Player commands at least 0 men.
Actions: Display text for Current Player: "Irrelevant"

Nobody gets anything. Does the command 0 Civ mess it up?

Theoretically it should just play the sound for that one player. But if it's a bug, then who knows. Make a map and test it.

Yeah, it looks like it does play for that one player. And it does. The tutorial there claims to be a way around it. I took out the commands 0 Civlian and it still only works for that player, so it isn't that. I'm loooking for a way so that when one player brings a dude to a location it displays the text for all players. Tell me if you have any... or else I'll just set custom score and have display text triggers for each score amount, which will most likely be.... annoying. :/

Tell you the truth Moose, thats pretty much how I did my messages.

Switch 1 is set.
Current player commands at least 1 men.

Display message 'blah'.

If you're on tonight, lets test that tutorial though.

I use it all the time. I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Maybe I made an error. Try switching it to "All players".

All Players will work, it works for me aswell, i mean how you think some of those Bound Maps do it...

CRITERIA:
- Message for all players or selected players
PLAYERS:
- 1, 2, 3, 4 or Force 1

EXAMPLE TRIGGER CONDITIONS:
-"Force 1" brings at least "1" Terran Civilian to "Location 1"
EXAMPLE TRIGGER ACTIONS:
-Display for current player: --- OWNED ---

or

EXAMPLE TRIGGER CONDITIONS:
-"Force 1" custom score is at least "#"
EXAMPLE TRIGGER ACTIONS:
-Display for current player: --- Level Up! ---
-Modify resources for current player: Add 1 Vespene Gas

OK, heres how _I_ got it to work.

Conditions (1, 2, 3, 4 - Force 1)
Force 1 brings at least 1 men to location 'textMessage'.
Current player commands at least 0 men.

Actions
Display text message for current player 'YOU SUCK!!1ONEONE'.

That is the exact trigger (except for the location and text message) that I used and it works.

Yoshi, please edit your tutorial.

It's not, but thats how I made the trigger so thats how I wrote it in my post.
