How do you make it so you can always make exploding sprites apear?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by AqoTrooper on 2004-12-21 at 16:07:26
like in bounds?

Actions:
Create 1 observer at 'exlplodion'
kill all any unit at 'exlplodion'
preserve trigger.

this was just an example, you can tell it to use any other unit and you can kill only that unit instead of 'any unit'.
but I assume you wanna it to explode and kill...

on the other hand, if you are talking about a singal explodion picture... than you open the SF or SCMdraft sprite pattle choose a sprite and put it on your map... remember, you can't remove pure sprites with triggers.

There is no way to always make them appear. But you can place initial ones with Starforge.

You cannot create sprites. You have to preplace them...

Edit: Damn you chu you beat me to it.

Can you make them stay where you put them? Like the missile smoke or building explosions.

Sprites like the gas only occur once and then they go away. You cannot make them they have to be preplaced on the map using an editor like Starforge.

You cannot do what you are trying to do. If you're trying to make explosions just create and destroy certain units that make those explosions.

I have seen an animation sprite that stays. I don't know what it was, and I haven't been able to find it, but in maps like Mystic Bound 2 or Open Quest RP (I think that's what it's called), there are these little pillars of smoke that appear about every 5 seconds. They do that the whole map. They go randomly though, so they wouldn't be good for explosing things because they can't be controlled.

It wouldn't happen to be blue smoke, would it?

There are a few animated spoites that stay like the nuclear launch dot. It's yould be cool if all the sprites did not dissapear one the game started.

Thanks, biggrin.gif

Yeah, the nuke dot stays. Also, the big worm mouth from desert is an animated sprite that stays. I can't think of any others.
