Well iv looked at eveyr single topic here, and none of them apply to the kind of map i am making. I am making a map like Choose your D, and i need to have a civillian spawn every 15 kills. PLEASE HELP, I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING BUT NOTHING IS WORKING!

Actions:
'Player' 'Kills' 'is at least 15'.

Conditions:
Modify 'Kills' for 'Player' 'Subtract 15'.
Create Civilian.
Preserve trigger.

This doesn't belong in concepts and this is a very basic trigger to do.

That is the tutorial for Kills to Cash, all you have to do is replace the cash part of it.

Dont work, all it does is once i get 15 kills, it just keeps spawning civs, dont stop. This happens wiht all the methods iv tried, how do they do it in Choose your D?

Because you can't subtract kills, and that tutorial sucks.

You can set kills, but try using the kill score. You can subtract that.

Show me the map, if you are subtracting the points then it shouldn't continue doing it. If you don't want to show me the map then create what you are doing in a blank map.

He obviously doesn't knwo that much so you have to make it simpler. tongue.gif

Since you can't subtract raw kills, what you want to do is use any good KTC method to have a counter (death counter or custom score) that acts as the number of kills. Then do Chu's trigger, substituting "custom or deaths (whichever you chose)" for "kills"

Heres what i have for triggers:

CONDITIONS:
- Current player Kills score is at east 15.
ACTIONS:
- Modify score for Current player: Subtract 15 Kills.
- Create 1 Terran Civillian at 'Civ Spawn' for Current player. Apply properties
- Preserve Trigger


Tell me if this is right, because when i play the map, all it does is the second i kill 1 unit, it just starts spawning civs continually, i believe this is because the at least 15 string. How do people get this to work!

In reply to DT_Battlekruser's post, im not a noob at staredit, its just that lol i cant do this thing. I am very good with triggers, been doing this for 5 years. This is just the first time i have had to do this kind of trigger.

Oh and how do i do custom score trigger lol =p trust me i sound like a noob but im not.

here: exact triggers then.

Trigger
Conditions:
¤ Current Player kills score is at least 1
Actions:
¤ Set current player kills score to 0
¤ add 1 custom score for current player
¤ preserve trigger


Trigger
Conditions:
¤ Current Player custom score is at least 15
Actions:
¤ Subtract 15 custom for current player
¤ create 1 civ at location for current player
¤ preserve trigger


You will want to add hypertriggers, and the small flaw is:
QUOTE(Tutorial)
    * Killing two units before the trigger fires will give you the same reward as if you had killed one


Hypertriggers eliminate this almost completely, but splash damage from things like Siege Tanks can fool the method.
